Final Projections for MNF

A miserable week for the numbers. Although I attempt to massage the year-old data used in the first 4 weeks, clearly I don?t do it well enough. Among the worst goofs was miscalculation of QB play vs the defenses they faced. Hopefully, by Week 5, with a full tank of current data, things will begin to break better.

Up is down, over is under, and high is low. That?s how this season has started, as far as numbers are concerned. Using year-old data is never a good choice, but because it?s the only choice as the model needs 4 weeks? worth of data to run, it?s crossed my mind in the past to begin posting no earlier than Week 5. Well, these first two weeks have that idea crossing my mind again. I could do better with a blindfold and dartboard.

However ? in it for the long haul.
