Your next distortion is that my premise was illogical. Please - take your time - point out the many ways it is illogical.
Believe me, it doesn't take much time pointing out the ways you are illogical.

Logic 101: If P then Q.

You :
IF
1. Bush is a fictitious president who "won" a fictitious election.
2. The war in Iraq is a fictitious war fought for oil, Cheney's friends at Haliburton, and Jrs revenge.

THEN
I can only see 2 courses of action you could take. One would be to leave the country. Two would be to start an armed revolution to take over the government.

Your conclusion simply does not follow from your premise. There are numerous other courses of action one could take. Go live in a cabin in the woods. . .kill yourself. . .get used to it.

Pro, WTF does the status of the Bush statesman have to do with Clinton? Clinton didn't have any either!
Get this through your oh so humanitarian head too, No one wanted Hussein to stay in power. We only differ on the methods used to get him out.
I still stand by my statement that this adminisration doesn't have any body with diplomatic skills. If they did they would of been able to back France, and Germany and Russia into backing us. That is what diplomats do. If it was an easy task anyone could do it. The fact is it is not easy and at this time we do not have the people who can do it.
Clinton didn't have them either. Feel better!
No matter what Limbaeugh or Fox news tells you everybody in this administration is not good and everybody outside of it bad.

Just curious, why to you think it so important to have support from these countries and how do you think it would help the US if they were on board?

On the course!
I think it's a riot how everyone becomes an expert on this shit. Six months ago, most of us couldn't find Iraq on a map. (Sadly.....most still can't.)

Just like Iran years back, Afghanistan, Uganda, etc.

Everyone reads the paper and watches the news, and they see what they are meant to see. None of us really know what is going on over there, if you really think about it. But, everyone is an expert!

Hoosier country
yyz:

you're absolutely right....kinda funny but sad!!!

independent study done by a U.S. based spanish-speaking organization ranks the general population of americans only ahead of mexicans in knowledge of geography....in the ENTIRE WORLD!!!

it's really sad....BUT....while most of the world learns about each other....albeit in a relatively minute way....the american educational system emphasizes ONLY america for the most part!!!

:)

Actually you are very right yyz. That is why I question all these humanitarians out there. They act like they have been losing sleep over these atrocities for years.
Ryson, the reason I feel it was important to get these countries and the UN (another dirty word) behind us was that I feel Husseins Regime could of imploded without the use of military action. Without the loss of any American lives and without the lose of thousands of Iraqi lives. Not to mention the thousands of bodies that are mutilated. The ones Fox News doesn't show you.
This war signals a great weakness and failure of not only the UN but of The negotiating skills of all the countries involved.
Sure we can be pissed at France, as we should, but what did they get out of this? Did they think we would not win?
And what did we win by this action. I don't feel safer from terroists. Last I heard a lot of those guys were in Pakistan. Our friend. Saudi Arabia seems to of grown a few and if I am not mistaken a guy who blew up a building in Oklahoma came from right here in the Good Ole US of A.
The dancing in the street signifies how weak Saddams hold was. I have to think with the rest of the world behind us and the billions of dollars spent to pull this off we could of gotten him out of there.

So Cal
Actually Shrimp, you make a good point. I was actually guilty of utilizing the time honored "Either/Or" fallacy in my argument. I give you kudos however for pointing that out, though it would be nearly impossible for one to numerate all the various possibilities. Your stirring defense of Stevie brought tears to my eyes. Neither of you have answered my initial questions concerning the nonsensical leap to Clinton, but I will take that as a satirical remark by Stevie rather than an attempt to be logical and/or serious. Since this could go on forever, I am willing to admit that my initial comments were intended to be more satirical than factual. My mistake was rushing to my own defense when it was originally intended as criticism of the icon Michael Moore and his own hypocritical and self-serving diatribes. For that, I am sorry for not clearly labelng it as such, thereby giving rise to the possibility that it might be interpreted as undeniable fact. I am more than willing to admit that I don't have all the answers nor do I have all the facts. If only Moore would do the same. As a peace offering, I will be happy to send you a copy of Bowling for Columbine, dvd or tape?
