Round 4 play (2pts):

Luke Donald to beat Charl Schwartzel -141 @ Pinnacle [also available @ 5Dimes, The Greek, Carib and WSEX]
Donald fell from 6th to 17th place yesterday after his 73 and he is now in danger of ending his run of eight consecutive top-10 finishes. I fully expect the World #1 to respond and get back under that number. He may be too far back from the lead (eight shots), but if Stricker has a bad day, he is still only five shots off second place. Donald has become #1 for his consistency and that shouldn't falter today and this should be the ninth time in the last ten common events that Donald has finished ahead of the Msaters champion (the only time he beat Donald, who finished 4th).

[unofficial rd4 system plays: Donald tb Johnson -120; Mahan tb Woodland -150; Mahan tb Johnson -119; Mahan tb McIlroy +100; Simpson tb Stallings -139; Donald tb Mickelson -125; Simpson tb Woodland -111; Kuchar tb Jobe -161; Stricker tb Byrd -115; Streelman tb Davis -130]

huge misfire w/ rose v watson on friday

for today, playing:

schwartzel +125 v donald

going with what has to be the fresher player today - both golfers at the end of a 4 week run that started with the players, but schwartzel's week ended early in his last w/ a mc at the BMW while luke's week ended with a tourney win and a world #1 ranking and quite likely a celebration that lasted into the night - carl also took a month off after playing in malaysia week of 4/17 while donald played a couple of stateside events (heritage and n.o. 4/24 and 5/1)

also don't mind the fact that schwartzel is alone in 2nd in GIR this week through the 1st 3 rounds

see this as a horse race and kind of feel like donald hit the wall yesterday while schwartzel looks a bit stronger while rounding for home - and like the fact that the $$ seems to be coming in on the world #1

on a side note played moore over lefty a bit earlier so go ryan and i also lean to byrd over stricker - i mean is stricker going to hole any more shots today? byrd's been really solid for a nice stretch now

to all good luck - la burns
