I love this play. Glavin versus Wood. Wood is very wild. He will walk at least 5 batters today. Glavin has been waiting ten years to make a opening start. He will not disappoint. The Cubs have a ton of holes to fill. No catcher, 2nd baseman, first baseman, or centerfielder besides that there a great team. NOT!

glavine lost his curve-slider after the all star break last year and has looked terrible in pre-season- there is a reason this line is so low-meanwhile wood is pithching like nolan ryan. jmo gl

Glavine pitched decent his last couple of starts in ST. His overall ST numbers are a little skewed due to the start he had in Mexico City. He gave up like 9 runs in 3 innings in that joke of a ballpark. Can't put much stock in that. The ballpark was worse than Coors field.

I think it will be a tight game though as Wood pitches well against the Mets. I could see a 3-2 or 4-2 game either way to be honest. I'm passing on the side. The total is on the low side, 7 or 7.5 so I'm passing on that as well.

If my memory serves me correctly Glavine does poorly early and then comes on strong after April. Poorly would be a little less than 50/50 early.

My memory is bad. Glavine is 14-5 since 4-99 in April.
