red wine is fantastic and although winte tours can get boring, no.cal is supposed to be good wine country, try broadening your horizons a little bit, it could do wonders :mj07: :mj07: :mj07:

Well, I guess we're just down to symantics and quality now. Out here where the climate is nice it's good to do a little prancing outdoors while you get drunk and chase beatiful women. I wouldn't necessarily want to do that in the mosquito infested redneck riviera that you call home. Yes, in that case - the better option is probably the summer teeth girl (some are there, some are not) at the local moonshine shack.

:mj07: :mj07: :mj07: you hit the nail on the head Saul, the only good thing is it's 75-80 degrees in jan, feb, march where it's crappy everywhere else besides california and maybe arizona and hawaii, redneck riviera indeed here, not exactly the cream of the crop people here as it draws all the misfits from up north and other places, kind of the demographics I've heard Vegas gets, I'm sure the crime rate in vegas has got to be pretty high but I dont know for sure, it's certainly not low here unless you're in a rare good area

Funny you mention the Vegas crime rate. The place I rent there just got broken into and my freind's wallet was stolen. Poor guy just moved from Colorado and is having a little trouble adjusting to the big dirty city.

So glad I'm able to be in California central coast majority of the time. Better everything. ...Of course I'm becoming a smug asshole who does wine tasting tours now - so there are drawbacks.

You and Kosar hang out at all? I actually want to visit that area some day.

Yeah I have met Kosar a few times and have drinks w/him now and again and shoot the sht about madjackers, he is a good guy, I know you guys have all met out in Vegas :mj07: it has been a weird adjustment for me here though, as I was living in an absolute DUMP and ended up living w/all black people (I'm not racist at all but the guy moved more ppl in than was expected, little kids from ex-girlfriend etc) and hit some rough patches.......It's all relative though, I grew up in the NYC suburbs and loved/love it when I went into the city and dont mind at all walking fast through a big city and watching my belongings, if you come from colo like your friend it is a big shock like you said, so many apartment complexes in vegas, here, phoenix-type places, houston are shanty towns and you really need to pay to get some quality, people dont realize that or cant afford it.....
I'm not one to go nuts about crime but I do follow the statistic-type things, and vegas seems to attract so many transient lowlifes, kind of like a lot of parts of fla and arizona, maybe b/c of the weather and relatively cheap cost of living, but there is a noticeable element of strange/sketcky people if you go to certain spots, and I've driven through bad neighborhoods elsewhere w/sunroof down and tom petty playing, I just dont pull over or stop ever :mj07: :mj07:
California to me is I dunno, I visited my friend in La Jolla 2 summers ago (he now lives on the east coast) but it is nice, just the people are weird to me out west, all relative........weathers great, good partying, just kind of weird mentality and not my kind of atmoisphere, and assenine cost of living and lot of yuppies, buit far worse places to be, LOL wine tasting tours are fun now and then, at least you dont live in Gay, I mean San....Francisco, I'd love to visit b/c its supposed to be gorgeous but the yuppies and wine tour stuff there must be nuts, anyway i've had a few beers and got on a rambling since i like talking about traveling it's one of my hobbies to learn about, but even though you got the nice weather come down here sometime in jan or feb one of these years although I will probably be out of here, you can see kosar's smiling, hard working mug :scared

Ok it is now my official mission to be the San Francisco ambassador...
ironically many of us here don't spend all our leisure time on wine tours nor are we all yuppies (an antiquated 80's term anyway!).

But we are all gay, and as such will prick you with HIV infected needles if you further denigrate our fine city. So be careful!

Incidentally, I went to the 1906 memorial this morning in San Francisco, and this town really embodiesd the can-do attitude New Orleans should be embracing. Make mother nature your bitch, and rebuild. Great seeing them cart out the 100+ year olds who were babies during the quake, how does someone live that long... sheeeeit.
