Probably a group of 4 hunters. I counted 20 Mallards. A few Canada geese and a Sandhill Crane in the pot too.
I know too that these birds (especially the Mallards and Sandhill Cranes) are coveted table fare, so I highly doubt they are just shot and wasted. When I was able to waterfowl hunt, I had 7 people who begged me for birds.

Very good SixFive! And you are correct, none of those birds are wasted. We clean and eat everything we shoot. We plucked 2 of the really nice mallards, a white front and a green winged teal. I gave the 2 mallards and teal to a friend of mine that I work with. We roasted the white front the next weekend and it was excellent. We could have easily shot 20 more mallards that day but we stick to the limit rules so we can enjoy another day hunting.
The rest of the game were all breasted out and my buddy is going to make duck sausage. The geese go to a local butcher that makes teriyaki sticks for us.
