now as far as obama goes...eventhough i didn't vote for him i would like to see him succeed....its in our country's best interest for him to be a good president...

The fact remains that there is zero, i'll repeat, zero, percent chance that Hillary or anybody else is nominated as a Democratic Presidential candidate in 2012 as long as Obama hasn't been assassinated by then and wants to run again.

When was the last time a sitting President was replaced as a candidate for President by his own party? Wease, what in the name of common sense would lead you to believe that would change in this situation, considering how bad things are in the country, and how much support Obama has coming in to try to tackle it? She couldn't overcome Obama head to head with all of the secretive, subversive, collusional things you guys said she had going for her in the primary race. Most people are looking at Obama in a positive way so far - unless they dislike him already - and none of those people will matter in the above discussion anyway.
As irony is running rampant around here of late, we still see conservative apologists putting forth the Clinton conspiracy theories while eternally labeling the lefties as being moonbat conspiracy theorists.
Al continues to put forth a sensible mainstream outlook, and his take on this as showing Obama's strength and confidence by naming her (if he does) to such an important position. It cements his own base and party by rewarding Hillary (and her supporters) with position befitting her status. As for what she would do in the position, I think she presents an intelligent, strong persona, and whether you like Bill or not, he has some serious strong contacts abroad, and is respected. She'll probably benefit from those connections and his experiences. I agree she would be tough to manage, but she won't want to damage her reputation by doing anything stupid or way off base. Honestly, if Condoleeza Rice can pull it off, I would assume Hillary could do it.
