Fwiw...Tom Watson was quoted as saying, "These are the most severe greens in Open golf. To get the ball close to the hole is just short of a miracle"

Round 1 play (4pts):

Spencer Levin to beat Thomas Aiken +110 @ 5Dimes
Levin may have only played in one Open Championship - 2007 @ Carmoustie; he missed the cut - but he has shown himself to be one of the leading players on the PGA Tour this year: he ranks inside the top-10 in Scoring Average and already has nine top-15 finishes this year, including last time out in the AT&T National two weeks ago. And some of those performances have been in windy weather - he finished 14th in the windswept Honda Classic and in the particularly windy conditions in the first round of the Arnold Palmer Invitational, he shot 66 and was leading at the end of the day. With Aiken, he did play well in Spain in May and won the Open de Espana, but he has missed his last three cuts and can be opposed at this price.

[unofficial rd1 system plays: Ogilvy tb Woodland +110; O'Hair tb Olesen +105; Moore tb Baddeley -105; Campbell tb Jamieson -105; Moore tb Quiros +100]

Is anyone else playing this weekend besides McIlroy? All they talk about on the channels is McIlroy. It was great story I got it. But come on. There are some great golfers playing this weekend and they deserve some attention. Not just Westwood and Donald either.

Cant believe Matteo is +110 ..

Just saw this quote

"The Open is the major that suits me best, I feel comfortable on a links course. I don't have to hit the ball too far, I can be precise off the tee and with my iron shots and play with the wind. I have to fix my putting a little bit but I'm starting to play some really good golf and I'm feeling positive."

Putting my 2 year 5-0 undefeated record in match play on this one:mj07:

Dimes has it now at -125 :toast: BOL.

I guess they aren't putting up Viking Classic odds  Judging by the field, I dont blame them
