have read several articles over the last few weeks from missou players saying they will die trying to win their last 2 games to go to a bowl....they have beaten tx a+m at a+m.....now they have tough k st at home...but,they need this game desperately and are now getting 13.5 at oly(bought to 14)....this is probably the best 5 win club in college football...a very balanced offense...in a home finale that is a must win situation...i know k st is rolling and the more physical team, but so were colorado and oklahoma...and missou played them lights out at home...i gotta take the shot.....2 td`s on the road seems awfully high....

always a worry going against the Kansas St machine but think you have the right side here as the wildcats cover as fav's much better at home. Misery is 7-3 ATS last 10 home games vs K State and have, indeed, played much better at home this yr. They have also covered 7 of their last 10 home finales. However I think the strongest angle on Misery is the fact K State is off the big home win/cover over hated Nebraska.

I also think Mizzou is a good play. Every year is different, but the last time K State went to Columbia they barely escaped with a 27-24 win or maybe it was 24-23 win. All I remember it was close. Of course, K State had the Big XII Championship game a week later and maybe (probably) wasn't game planning for Mizzou that week like they should have, but that Mizzou team in 2000 was nowhere near as good as they are in 2002. It can also be argued that K State isn't as good as they were in 2000 either, but that's not nearly as strong of an argument as Mizzou being better in 2002 than they were in 2000.

Still, all things considered, I think Mizzou is an awesome play here at home with so many points. Anything 10+ for Mizzou at home is good so I think this is really good value.

Plus, to possibly a much lesser degree, K State might be a little deflated with no possibility of winning the Big XII now? Seems to point to a Mizzou cover all the way.

Weasel,

I will say that even though I think K State is playing the best ball in the Big XII right now, they've played two already demoralized opponents, both at the Litter Box, in Iowa State and Nebraska. Mizzou needs this game badly, and I think Mizzou +14 is the strongest play of the entire board this week.

The only question I have about this is Mizzou's secondary. They are young and average at best, but Mizzou plays everyone tough in Columbia. They have only lost by 7 at home this year, to Oklahoma and Colorado respectively, and they obviously were in a position to win both of those games with OU doing that fake FG and CU winning in OT.

All the moolah is on K State, too. Opens at K State -9' and shoots up to 13'. That kind of line movement is very hard to go AGAINST, but I think that's playing right into a Mizzou cover's hands. Iowa State has been exposed for what they are, a decent team, but certainly no road team. They played well against Texas on the road, but that's about it. They did play pretty well in Boulder, too, but they are an average team with no size on defense. Nebraska, of course, has their heads in their hands and K State really wanted to kick them while they are down - TYPICAL BILL SNYDER. K State has beaten up on two average teams both at the Litter Box.

I think K State will probably win, but that is no sure thing at all. I will ride Mizzou all the way to the bank.

Thanks for the compliment on the Buffs. Yes, the Buffs are closing strongly. Can't wait to see what happens in Lincoln. I swear if CU goes in there and beats Nebraska in Lincoln they will have Solich's head on a platter. CU will still not be able to beat Oklahoma in Houston for the title though. Oklahoma will shut CU down as we can't pass against anyone, and OU will shut down the Buff run or at least keep it in check.

and let me kiss ass for the final time

and let me kiss ass for the final time

in my eyes, and strictly on performance week in and week out, chris brown should win the heisman...the guy has been dominant and practically unstoppable on a somewhat one dimesional offense...defenses gear up to stop him and he still gets his yards....

Fellas, hadn't even looked at the college lines this week yet, but seeing Mizzou +14 looks pretty nice, especially with that early line movement. Now granted, anything I say from this point can be scrapped as I'm a Mizzou grad and might have my heart talking as well as my head.
The biggest thing in this game will be Mizzou's D. They have been pretty pourous all year, but seemed to do better last week at Texas A&M. But was it a Texas let down from the big win or has Mizzou's D begun to finally play a little better? I only followed the game on the tracker so all I know is that A&M had to come from 14 behind just to bring the game to OT. K-State also beat down Seneca Wallace who's very comparable to Brad Smith, but that was at home and K-State seems to have a tougher time on the road. Mizzou plays well at Faurot losing to two quality opponents by a combined 10? (I think).
I'm gonna look more into some stats for this game and will be back later in the week with a better idea of how this game might turn out. One big factor to think about is...
What does K-State have to play for and what does Mizzou have to play for?

plays on grass(i think)as opposed to carpet at k st....i think k st has only played 3 road games all year(kansas, baylor and colorado)....kansas and baylor were throw away games....pretty convenient scheduling, wouldn`t you say?missou had no gift games on the road and acquitted themselves well vs top clubs at home....nothing is guaranteed, but it comes down to this...k st has a bowl birth locked up,just beat hated rival nebraska and really has no obvious motivation...missou has home field advantage(on grass),where they played at least comparable competition to the wire(colo and oklahoma),motivation of a bowl birth, and 14 points to boot...as i said, they may get blown out, but,my money says take the points...and the money line...no great capping involved...taking the edges.

Sounds great, Gardenweasel, but I don't think ANYONE should win the Heisman this year!!!!

Brown has 6 yards per average rush, which is amazing... and 1700+ yards with 18 TDs. I don't know if Brown has gotten the "hype" necessary to get it, but he should probably go to the DAC. CU is definitely a one-tiered attack only. Without Brown, CU would be horrible.... It is amazing though that everyone knows he's coming right at the defense and he can't be really stopped. He even rushed for over 100 against Oklahoma in Norman, the first 100-yard rusher against Oklahoma since 1999.

Seriously, though.... we should just call off the Heisman this year!
Dorsey? If that guy is not on Miami, he would be exposed for what I think he is - a very AVERAGE QB.

Thanks for the hype though! Pass it on....

MIZZOU MIZZOU MIZZOU - take it to the bank

Great thoughts fellas. The only thing I could think why this line is moving is because Mizzou isn't a team known by the public and K State has consistently risen through the polls in the past 6 weeks.

Reading up on Mizzou a little bit, and found another factor in this game. Thanksgiving break starts Friday and many students will be gone. Also HS state championships taking place and in Missouri people make an effort to go and see it. Crowd may be sparse and not as jacked up as people may think, but still think the players are the ones it comes down to, and they want this one badly. Check it out

POWER SWEEP'S TOP 4 * PLAY IS KSU

POWER SWEEP'S TOP 4 * PLAY IS KSU

The ONLY 4 * selection for Power Sweep in CFB this week is KSU and the points.

I HATE going against major line movement, as there is almost always a good reason behind it. But, I'm going to.....

MIZZOU +14' is a great play IMO

I also like:

OREGON ST -4' vs Oregon - Oregon is reeling and OSU is 14-1 ATS as a home favorite since 1998.

IOWA ST -17 vs Connecticut - ISU finally gets a punching bag after being a punching bag the last month.

OKLAHOMA -13 vs Texas Tech - Oklahoma can't be beaten in Norman when they're paying attention, and they will be this week.
