This biotch cost some Duke lacrosse parents some real money, to the tune of about 3 million dollars. She should be prosecuted and the District Attorney should be disbarred for their antics. It makes me sick just to think that one whore could cause so much trouble.

Did anyone here see the report on CNN yesterday showing the 3 Kids and their attorney:com:

Loved it......

Vinnie,
Can you dig that up?:SIB

No, I did not see the story. Why waste time with a story on this women ? I think the story that should be focused on, should have America thinking about our liberties and rights. How could this police department and this DA's office, try to prosecute these young men from Duke on the evidence that they had ? This happens in America some times and these guys were fortunate that their families had the means to defend them. If it happened to me, I would be in jail right now. This women was basically a hooker, drug and alcohol addict. I do believe a prostitute can be raped and should be protected when a crime is committed against her. The evidence not only said these guys did not rape her but it also raised questions. The big story should be the state of our justice system, and how it should deal with people like DA Nifong. I guess the media gives us what we get because most of us would rather get the dirt on this dirt bag stripper, rather than shining a light on the problems in our justice system. Hope you have fun peering into the life of this hooker but I think we should all be focused on how to get justice in America with out money. Many parents that send their kids to college are stretched already. What would have happened if these three guys came from families that couldn't spend $3,000,000 for justice ? Most of the people that are in our jails belong there. We have to start looking at the ones that are there because they don't have the magic bullet. MONEY !

sorry franky, didn't mean to quote you. I just think that having a focus on this stripper, is just a distraction. We need to focus on the DA and why he and others in our system bring cases that should not be brought. The buck stops at the DA, they are supposed to be in the business of finding the truth.

Heaven, oh!!, this isn't it?!
Appreciate the apology, but not sure if it was really necessary? But thanks, it shows class!

Actually, the press conference was just that:com: About the state of the Justice system, and what happens when people are assumed guilty, until they are able to prove themselves innocent:scared . I did not see the whole thing, but just happened to tune in when the last kid was speaking, and then they turned it over to that kids attorney. Just wonderful statements about where our legal system is, and whats wrong with it. I have not had time to see if its been rebroadcast, but it should be, well at least more than some high speed chase involving a white Bronco:SIB
Think I will turn on CNN now to see if anything else is on about this........

Franky :)

Lots of media doing the 2 step---

Front Page News

The New York Times today ran a front-page story on the dismissal of the charges in the Duke lacrosse case ? but nowhere did it mention a Times exclusive from last August in which the paper said: "While there are big weaknesses in (prosecutor) Nifong's case, there is also a body of evidence to support his decision to take the matter to a jury. In several important areas, the full files, reviewed by The New York Times, contain evidence stronger than that highlighted by the defense."

Today's story makes no mention of that "body of evidence," saying Nifong, "relied almost entirely on the woman's photo identification of the three suspects and on a report by the sexual assault nurse who examined the woman," evidence that had been known since the beginning

maybe im missing the ironic correlation, but why isnt the media mentioning the Duke Lacrosse situation in same breath with RutHoGate?

Think if this was other way around once again? I.E., The Scottsboro Boys?

I didnt follow all the details of the lacrosse thing but i def. recall seeing a middle-aged, angry black prof at Duke just going off immediately after the "white boys" pulled their capper and committed their "obvious" offense, etc ...

where is this clown now? Why isnt he, like Imus was, forced to apologize publicly and fired ... wheres Jesse Jackson to cluck his tongue?

Saw Jason Whitlock at 4 a.m. last night on msnbc, classic comments, called Jackson and Sharpton ambulance chasers and much funnier, it was late and I wished I wouldve written down his zingers.

sorry if my thoughts rambled, but i def. see some interesting things to contrast with the Rutgers/Duke snafus

take care

The irony of this all kills me

The irony of this all kills me

well, irony might not be the right word...

I'm not an Imus fan - I can't even say I've heard him, but...

He gets fired for saying something inappropriate... something the African American community says all the time in rap records... Ok, so be it. Sometimes you pay a penalty for saying the wrong thing. A bit harsh - as nobody's life was changed or really harmed....

Then you have the woman who made up the story of being raped by the Duke boys.... and, yes, made up is the right term... she had tried this before (accusing people of a gang rape) and it never went anywhere....

What happens to her? NOTHING! She destroyed 3 young boys' lives for no reason. She should do a minimum of 30 years time (10 years per boy) for what she did... and what happens? SHE ISN'T EVEN CHARGED?

What does that tell our young women of today? It says "Take your shot at claiming rape against people of money - you have nothing to lose. If you win, you are rich, and if you are found out to by lying, nothing will happen to you".

Tell me that race didn't have something to do in BOTH of these mattters.....
