Sorry kids but I came across another profound quote that reflects how I feel about the current state of the country that I thought I would share with my fellow centrists and those of you who have been blindly misled by Wayne, Freeze, Weasel, et al.

"For I ask you, who would say that freedom is not free, with the price being freedom itself? Who would submit accusation in permanence of guilt? Who would mute the cry of innocence by cruel withdrawal of voice? And who would declare the rule of law omnipotent executive will?

I will tell you my friends. They are the same who perceive the foundations of tyranny within the Constitution, and declare the basic precepts of free society our greatest weakness.

They are the same who openly proclaim the virtues of torture, secret prisons, extrajudicial abduction, universal surveillance, and dictatorial government.

Yes my friends, they are the same who have declared in both word and action that we must destroy America in order to save it.

My fellow citizens, twice we have fallen. Towers by enemies without, and freedom by enemies within.

It is a disheartening truth that terrorists didn't steal our dignity, liberty, and freedom, Republicans did."

"Desperate times call for desperate measures."

Is that the rationale that Hitler used on the German people in the 1930's when he began taking away their personal freedoms, used fear and devout patriotism as a tool to stay in power, identified, isolated and demonized a people as a tool to polarize and keep his base? Bush is ignoring Congress much the same way that Hitler ignored Germany's Parliament which was eventually dissolved.

Internment camps for Arabs?
Should we make American Muslims where yellow crescents on their garments to identify them?
Shall we begin construction of concentration camps? Maybe the first one can be in Bowling Green. (Auschwitz, Kentucky has a nice ring to it)

Do a comparision of Germany in the 1903's and the Bush administration. It's scarry. I agree with you that desperate times do call for desperate measures. I think we differ on the measures.

Let the impeachment of both the President and Vice-President begin.
