Well I had my Jr prom a few weeks ago and it's not until May the seniors go dancing but today is the hoop version of the Big Dance...The super bowl, world series, stanley cup,Indy 500,the Masters and of course the MAAC basketball finals...just kidding...
I need goergetown to win today for another reason other then my capping them. I have a 9 team parlay going on and I have won the 1st 7 games in it.I have georgetown at pk'm and florida at -3.5.If the Hoyas win then I will just "hedge" my Florida game and split the pot.If Ohio St wins the parlay is over.So I'm trying to be objective in taking the Hoyas today.

Georgetown -1 over Ohio St **
Small play because these two teams are so even. My figures come out at a pick'im game. Not going to write much because you all have heard and read about Hibbert-Oden..etc. This game could be determined by a ref who gives Hibbert his 3rd foul or vice-versa.Hoyas run the Princeton offense with "greyhounds".Ohio St has some freshman gds that are unreal.
This game is really hard.who stays out of foul trouble, who wins the post matchup, what team has better interior passing, rebounds better and who gets the better looks and hits the outside shot. Lean with Hibbert who is a little more experinced,Green can dribble, pass, score and play D.Ohio St does have puppies in Conley and Cook but they sure don't play like them.Small lean towards towards the Hoyas but cheering for them big time..

Florida -3 over UCLA ****
will come back later to explain..Also like both girls games tomr with some strong plays.

A few weeks ago my HS won Odyssey of the Mind in a district competition. We upset 3 high schools that have been regional champs for years. We were the dark horse..the cinderella team.. I'm so proud bragging about the win..head swollen,etc.. but...the flip side of this was...on march 31st the team is in the NY state finals...at SUNY Binghamton...so in about 20 minutres I have to drive 2-3 hours north and cheer my school on. I asked the coach yesterday in school if we win on saturday where do we go? It's East lansing,Mich... The competition of each event is only 8 miniutes long..and I have seen it 6 times...ahhh.. But in the spirt of my HS....lets go team...and lets go Hoyas..
be back tonite..good luck

Why don't you hedge the Fla game also to make sure you make profit?

Georgetown -1 over Ohio St **
tough game to capp. Almost dead even. I'll like Hibbert by an inch..just more experinced..Green a lot.Oden is awesome..Conley and his partners are still puppies..good puppies though..Hoyas win a thriller..

Florida -3 over UCLA ****
Brewer,Horford, and Noah are some front line to deal with. That's 6'9,6'10 and 6'11.Green and Humphrey are both solid at the gds.UCLA's defense is great.Afflalo woke up after a few bad games.Brewer shut him down last year.It still feels like Florida hasn't played it's best game yet.I think UCLA played its already vs Kansas.Howland has bought his BE style of hoops out west.gators have to much...and the bruins size might hurt them. They don't have a starter over 6'8. Donovan will pound it in and then kick it out.Attack the UCLA low post...Florida biggest weakness is perimeter defense. But don't think UCLA has enough greyhounds to stop them...

Back tomr for the girls prom..GL
thanks ripken..
hedge..I have won 7 in a row..the 8th game is georgetown..I have to wait to win the 8th game before I hedge the 9th game...right?

Hedging on the parlay depends on you. A 9-teamer pays about 300/1. A $20 bet wins $6000. You could still partially hedge on game eight to lock in a nice profit.

I would hedge the eighth game and maybe let the 9th game go. Just my opinion. I play extremely conservative, every time I have a chance to hedge or middle I try to pick up as much as possible. Maybe you can bet at halftime of the first game to win both, who knows.

I'm assuming your odds were around 60-1

Say you layed 100 to win 6000...

You could've layed 1100 on Ohio St in first game, gauranteed to win 1000 or 4900

If the parlay continued past the first game, lay 2200 on UCLA +3, gauranteed to win 1000 or 2700 if the parlay finishes out

I'm not saying this is what you should've done, just letting you know a hedge is possible with 2 teams left on the card

boxlocks...
I had $30.00 to win $2,650...I played Ohio St -1.5 in the 2nd half for a big play..but I think I messed up not hedging earlier on the 8th game..I'm not to smart on these parlays...should of posted earlier to get some more insight...
thanks

the reason why it's lower is..the 3 pro games were moneyline wins..no odds..think the georgetown game to was moneyline..
