Well, most would say Jordan did worse than expected, with 20 Republicans shitting on him.

I think we are getting closer to a "Me Too" movement on MAGA. I feel once the MAGA facade cracks a little more, Republicans on the Hill will jump ship in droves, and actually speak their onions on how they REALLY feel about Trump.

Time will tell......

as much as i'd love to believe that, it's really hard to imagine it happening any time soon. for one thing, reports were anywhere from 40 - 55 republicans voted against him in their secret ballot. which means 20 - 35 of them are too cowardly to vote against him in public. it's a sad way to run a party, but they're all terrified that if they piss off the magas, they'll get primaried. and jordan is shamelessly using right-wing media to browbeat them into submission.

none of the republicans who dared tell the truth about trump are still in the House. meaning those who are there are true believers or huge cowards. they didn't have the courage to speak up in 2016 (or they quickly realized they needed to toe the line). every time trump crossed a line where we all thought "NOW they'll speak up," they just dug in deeper. years of courting a dumb, cultish base has led them to this.

i mean, what could possibly happen now that would drive them to be honest? trump could literally walk into a church, take a dump on the altar, and shove the cross up his ass, while yelling I'M YOUR MESSIAH NOW, BITCHES!! and he wouldn't lose a single supporter. it would either be "fake news", or "a witch hunt" or "still not as bad as hunter biden's laptop."

You make a good argument for my point, though. You said a secret vote showed a lot more not backing MAGA Jordan, but they're still afraid to actually step forward. That day will come. Sadly.....it might be well after the fact.

I truly believe that 50 years from now, people will say, "I can't believe that piece of shit was ever President", when referencing Trump.

Jim Jordan has been in Congress since 2007. He's the current Republican candidate to lead the House. He's passed zero bills in his time as a Congressman. That's no legislative accomplishments in 16 years. That's who this worthless, do-nothing, political party is going to try to get into the top job. Very on brand. They have no interest in governing and this is just more evidence.

Republicans are not here to govern. They stand behind "Conservative" but it's either overturning existing legislation or doing nothing. Making things better is not on the agenda.

The Democrats aren't running anyone else. This is who they back. Also, it wouldn't matter. Republican voters and Democrats are at a point where they will NOT vote against their team

Trump did nothing he said he was going to do. At best you can say he cut corporate taxes, which is one of the reasons for the high inflation you're blaming Biden for. But, by all means, carry on.
