Copied and pasted this from another website...This is always something to consider. GLTA.:SIB

1) The spread says it all

Sometimes in sports betting you?ve got to read between the lines, and a closer look at the odds on this Monday Nighter suggests Philly is a trap.

Just think about it. The media has been crowing all week long about how the Panthers have underachieved and how Delhomme is headed down the depth chart. The books know the betting public will be swayed by these misconceptions, and are giving Philly a field goal just to sweeten the pot.

But if you take away all the drama and compare these teams strictly on talent, the Panthers are worth at least a touchdown. So go ahead and give those points, then take home a nice payout when the game is over.

Yeah, and the public hasn't been swayed by McNabb's departure and the negativity of Garcia taking over a team declining before that?

well about 75% of the pub are on the panthers.

Are you sure about that??? If that many bets are on the Panthers, then why did the line move from Carolina -3.5 down to -3 ? Not to mention the fact that Dr.Bob has a 4* play on Philly (and that is the only handicapper I've seen that can move the line; I guess he must be one of the better handicappers out there). I would think that most of the public likes Philly. And since the public is wrong most of the time, I hope you are right about "75% of the pub are on the panthers" because I'm planning to bet on Philly +3.....

you can get a free account @ **************.com that has a 20 minute delay but shows percentages from the major offsite books (including pinny). the real time one costs like 70 bucks a month or something. good tool that i recommend to anyone, very nice to know where the $$$ is. you can also check % at ********* which shows what everyone picks in their various office pools, capping contests, etc. i prefer si though, just my 2 cents.
