what a joke.....time for this conference to step down a class.....they cannot compete with the big boys.....time to forego the annual ass kicking and go try to beat Mt Union or Pittsburg State, Kentucky Western or whoever is in the class below them....

sure the sun will shine on their ass sometimes but the rule is men against boys....i think grandma just ran for 100 yards out there against this porous defense....

the MAC will always be a great fade.....thanks for the free$$ tonight Toledo....don' t really think i deserved it.....most of the time i have to sweat out a second half......

The Mid American Conference will never be a top 6 conference, but the top 3 teams, Marshall, BGSU and Toledo, would fare better than some teams do in their conference. All three of the teams are better than Baylor and Kansas in the Big 12. The MAC's problem has been and always will be that they truly lack the athletes to compete against the big boys.

thats debatable.....i don't know if you can flat out say that they are better than Ks or Baylor...i would probably put my money on Baylor SU against this Toledo bunch

plus, Baylor or Kansas may turn out to be KState someday.....these MAC teams will never be like that...picking the worst teams in a conference and comparing them to best teams in another conference speaks for itself on the state of a conference...tiem for the MAC to join the NCC....the SDSU Jackrabbits or the UND Fightin Sioux would give these guys a game....

I do believe the MAC has a SU and ATS bowl win this bowl season so far (Marshall). If the MAC's overall ATS non-conference numbers are sub-par the past few years, its basically 2 schools (Eastern and Central Michigan) who've brought the whole conference down. I don't think anyone is comparing them to the Big 12 or SEC or Big 10. They're SUPPOSED to get pounded by the Big 10 because those are the schools that have passed them over but the MAC has held their own ATS-wise in those matchups in recent years. And Marshall, Toledo, Northern Illinois and Bowling Green would all bury the current Kansas and Baylor teams.

yeah Marshall just beat a team coming off an ass kicking to U of H....which is a worse program than Baylor or Kansas...

plus Louisville lost their coach at halftime....could a team be in any more disarray than that squad???

bowling green is the only team that has impressed me and that was only at the beginning of the year...they were a shadow of their former selves down the stretch....

N Illinois, Toledo, and Marshall didn't beat anyone notable all season...how can you say that they would pummel Baylor or Kansas???

NIU should've beaten Wisky at Madison. Huge edge in yardage and first downs; only a gift pass int in the final minute kept Wisky from losing outright. BG destroyed Mizzou, who wasn't a bad team. Its probably true the MAC teams probably can't go to a higher level and maybe its not 100% inconceivable Kansas could get to be respectable, but thats still a long ways off. As for Baylor, they really should be dropped from the Big 12. That job is an absolute no-win situation.

The MAC isnt the Big 12...

but I will say this..

The conference gets better and better every year....and when we FINALLY beat a Top 10 school - then we will be on the map for real
