I really like Pitt in this spot at home... Miami is going to get a lot of love for how close they played Ohio St. But the only reason that game was as close as it was because of 2 special teams TD's... I like Pitt's ground game and I see a big mismatch in Pitt's WR's and Miami's DB's... Miami's DB's are 5'11 and 6'2 while Pitt's WR's are both 6'5.... I see a big night for the two of them... I like Pitt here to win SU

Dion Lewis of last year might have done well but Pitt has looked pretty ordinary this year. Miami is tough along the DL and if they come to play then I can't see them losing.


I'll be watching this one with no dog in the race though... those Thursday night BE games will have you in the poor house before long.

I haven't really looked at this game so I can't offer any tangible insight whatsoever, but you have to have brass balls to bet a road fave on any of these weeknight ESPN games. Over the last few years they have fared very poorly.

That's the reason I like Pitt... Plus Pitt is better than everyone is giving them credit for... Just don't understand the why the line is stuck at 4

Yeah, I'm not really sure. But considering the game is at Pitt I have to agree with you that they probably have a good chance of winning outright.

I wish I could find the stat about home teams covering in these games -- a couple of years I was tracking it for a while and it was something like 75% of the time the home team covered. And that wasn't just dogs, it was home teams in general.

Miami played OSU close? In what universe? I dont think Miami is going to get a lot of love based on the OSU game that is for sure. They may get backed based on the fact that Pitt has not been impressive at all early in the season. Lewis hasnt got untracked and their QB situation isnt the greatest right now. To top it off their best DL is out after having surgery (Romeius) sp?. In no way is Miami getting backed because they played OSU close that isnt even remotely the case IMO. THey got dominated against OSU is more like it but Pitt isnt OSU.
