I had the pleasure of seeing Kazmir pitch several outings last year in low A ball for the Capital City Bombers (in Columbia, SC). He has a plus fastball and a good deuce as well. Low A ball hitters were no match for him and his gas as he hit 95-96 on the gun consistently. I think in time he will be a great pitcher, and probably a closer. That being said...Seattle ain't low A ball, so I hope he's ready.

Good luck on your play. I hope the final is 9-0 Rays!

You say "man of your word" like I lost the bet we had. I did not, but I wanted to get you something anyway (which I did) as a showing of appreciation for the hat you sent me. I REALLY do have you a shirt, and I REALLY DID buy the damn thing last December. Unfortunately, it's been in my closet ever since, which I do apologize for. I will send the shirt tomorrow (with the receipt showing when I bought the damn thing). Let me know on here when you get it.

I am absolutely a man of my word when I lose a bet...just ask my bookie. Remember, it was/is a gift, not a debt pay off, but I do apologize for not sending it yet. I HATE going to the post office.

The kid has talent, no doubt. I wish him the best, he's truly a nice guy. He signed a ton of stuff for me, including a couple of Mets line up cards on nights he pitched...several balls too.

Funny thing though, I heard them say he's listed at 6"0...if that kid's six feet tall then I'm eight feet tall. He reminds me of Pedro (in size), he's not that big, but damn he can toss the yarn.

Hope somebody rallies to score some runs so your play hits, best of luck.

YEP thanks USC;
I'm glad that kid had a decent debut. The MET organization, or maybe it's Fred Wilpon, are a bunch of rats. They keep these players down in the farm system as long as possible and bring them up late in the year ( even if they have been ready) to stave off Arbitration elligiblity dates.

The Mets fans are beginning to revolt here !

Damn, not a bad stab at the score on my behalf! (my edit was for team name, I originally put Mets instead of Rays). Glad you won your bet Pujo.

You're absolutely right about the Mets Organization, they are scumbags. I'm actually a Yankees fan, but I pull hard for certain players (like Kazmir) because I see them come up through the farm system here in Columbia.

True story to prove your point...I was talking with one of the current Bombers the other day and I asked him what he thought of the Mets organization as a whole and he said "They fu*kin suck b/c they have SO MANY prospects and they NEVER move people up." And this came from one of the GOOD players on the team.

It's gotta be torture if you're a Mets fan to see them constantly trading away great talent. I cannot believe they traded Kazmir, Matt Peterson (P) and Justin Huber (C)...what a joke.

In the future watch out for Craig Brazelle (1B), Lastings Milledge (CF), Kevin Deaton (P), Miguel Pinango (P) and Yusserimo Petit (P). They are all great young talents. I hope the Mets don't dump them b/c they will be great players one day...especially Milledge and Petit, those two will be All Stars...mark my word.

Congrats on your "W"
