Nice calls FLA! We won both doggies tonight and the public bettors taking the chalk are screaming mad! Couple great covers! Probably didn't deserve either.
Did anyone else notice how Louisville appeared to give up and make sure they covered the spread the last 25 seconds??? They were down 8 and not in the least bit of a hurry... I think Rick Pitino gave them instructions to make sure they covered which they did by wasting 15+ seconds before shooting. As a L'ville backer, I loved it. As a UK bettor, I would have been pissed!

The catch-22. If u had KY -8.5, they'll dribble it out. If you had Louis +8.5, they'll rush a shot and then foul. At least it seems like that.
No, if you're the Cards, you push the game to the finish, they took about 15 to 20 seconds to take the last shot and then didn't even give a hint about fouling. They were happy to give their alumni a cover if they weren't going to win. It was painfully obvious for UK backers. I mean they knew they weren't coming back down 8 with 30 seconds and did this on purpose. You have to be blind to not see what L'ville was doing. A lot more peeps bet money on a Final 4 than you would ever believe. Alumni that would normally never bet will wager a hundred or a few hundred for fun.... trust me! L'ville knew the spread and make sure their supporters covered! My brother never bets and took Butler for 5 dimes in last year's final 4 vs VCU (He likes to bet huge when he bets, also took Ravens +7.5 for 5 dimes vs. Patriots in AFC Championship game). Anyway, Rick knew they weren't going to win and wanted to make sure they covered the number.

But u may be on to something. In NBA, a team knows when they're beaten and throw up the white flag. What we saw at the end of today's game may well have been an "Alumni Win" by Pitino.

I had the Louisville UNDER the total and was at work. My internet was down so I was keeping track on ESPN on my Iphone. I couldn't believe it.. I am thinking this is going to get close. If Louisville hits the 3 or even misses they will foul and Kentucky will shoot 2, I was thinking that 8 - 10 points could quite possibly be scored in the final 30 seconds and then I see the time just expire after them trying a 3 with 10 seconds left? No fouling, makes up for the times when I have an under and the team down 14 with 40 seconds left fouls, then they go down 16, then make a bucket, then foul again, to push the over.
