Nothing more frustrating than watching your team with an early lead getting backdoored or totally outplayed in the second half and extinguishing those hopes you had after penciling in the 'W' when they displayed their A-team efforts to start the game :mj16:
Of couse you're going to lose some first quarter and first half wagers the same way but you save yourself 30 or 45 minutes of stress and frustration, not to mention putting the remote in orbit before the late games kickoff :142smilie
I have found three teams that have been consistant money makers early in the game (and faltered later)
Doing a little more research on my day off (if I can dodge the lady who thinks she's boss) to see if I can come up with more.
Syracuse is my latest project after turning my "capping skills" smugness into tears when the final horn signaled my bookie was getting paid again :thefinger With the price of gas coming down he doesn't need any more green to fuel that Benz that I should rightfully be co-owner of :mj07:
Since being trounced by Penn State in week #3 the Orange have played good football in the first thirty minutes of their games. They've played better than Pitt, WVa, Louisville, and Rutgers being the underdog in all. First quarter stats are in their favor as well. In the last five games they've outscored their Big East opposition 64-62 (while getting a generous amount of points) before the halftime entertainment. They easily covered four out of five, only down 21-13 to SFla (who, by the way, may I throw in a FU Bulls :gf: you overrated, underachieving, penalty happy pieces of crap) They've outplayed the same four opponents 38-10 in the first quarter in that span.
Saturday the Orange host UConn and should be getting @6 for the first half and a field goal for the first fifteen minutes. I'll be on them :mj09:
The Crimson Tide (as I've posted in earlier threads) are another covering machine in the first half. They didn't cover against LSU last week (and were lucky to cover the game)
so I'm hoping they take out all their frustrations when they host MissSt this weekend. Shoud be @-11
In the NFL the surprising Atlanta Falcons have been doing a number on their foes in the first quarter. They'll probably be a point fav when they host the Broncos on Sunday. Matt Ryan to Roddy White sound familiar...... The Falcons are up an unbelievable 75-17 when the horn sounds to start the second quarter. And it's all plus $$$$ (+125 to +135) Love it!!!!!!!
Now that I've posted it I have put the proverbial jinx on any potential winners:mj07:
Gotta run..... Here she comes :scared
