Someday Lebron will have multiple rings and be talked about in the same breath as Jordan. Keep in mind that Lebron should only be a Senior in college right now:scared The kid is good and I would take him over Wade as he's taller and has far more upside IMO.

the fact that pundits even try to compare LJ with MJ speaks for itself, the best ever and this 22-year-old is mentioned as a comparison, quite heady ...

I have never seen anyone take the ball to rack and dunk in 5 on 5 situation better than LJ, for that he gets kudos alone (did it 3 or 4 times in closing of game 5) ... hes Magic's frame with MJ grace & DNA...

I had deet to win east and to play in finals vs Spurs, and I'm enjoying watching Cavs win, and I'm not even a big LJ fan ... just ironic he's at the moment shutting some naive/jealous mouths ...

will they beat Spurs? Prob not, but then again, Suns shouldve been there anyhow but we have a Commish with a large proboscis he cant keep out of the way

ps Rex, good post :)

pss for those who like to shove LJ's outside shot down people's throat, his trey % is almost double what MJ's was the King's first four years ...

.173
.167
.182
.132

after that, it improved for 4 years to where LJ's is now ;)

psss ... Mjs first five years on Bulls the team had the following records (only once finishing above 3rd in Central Div.) ...

38-44
30-52
40-42
50-32
47-35

Figured this subject and thread had already been addresses but I had to throw my $.02 in....

48/9/7 ?!? - are you kidding me? 25 straight pts and 29 of his team's last 30?

It's becoming more and more obvious that The Sponge is secretly Skip Bayless - all makes sense now

Let me help some of you guys with something. Im the guy that laid out in the last week of the season how the playoffs would shake out. How the Bulls would lose the last game so Cleveland could have the easy ride to the playoffs. Im the guy that said watch the Jersey series and watch how Kidd all the sudden forgets how to play. Kidd had a great playoffs the series before and he did forget how to play against Cleveland. Im the guy before the series began that said watch how Billups forgets how to play against Cleveland. Again the same thing happen. Another fantastic point guard forgetting how to play. This is called laying down to build up your star. The NBA is famous for this. I said this all before these series started and not after the fact. So to even fight me on those points to me, makes a person look foolish. Now lets examine Lebrons game last night which was a very good one. Best in history give me a freaking break but i guess if announcers keep on saying it eventually people will believe it. Now Lebron threw up a few airballs and also missed crucial foul shots again in this game. He also made some shots i didn't think he would make which is a sign that he is stepping up. Lets take a look at these shots he is making. I can count on one finger how many times these shots were contested. Why isn't Detroit doubling him. Why are they five feet off of him? Why is he dunking shots and nobody is even within five feet of the dunk? This is all about laying down for the new sweetheart of the league just like Detroit did last year with Wade and the announcers were saying the same stuff about Billups as they are this year. How has he all the sudden forgot how to play and why was he on James on almost every crucial point in the game? Is this so he can just let him run right past him like he is? Nobody, I repeat nobody is saying that James is a bad player just over hyped. He score 48 points in over 5 quarters and the ones at the end i think 2 of the points were only contested. I have seen iverson score 50 a bunch of times. In the playoffs too. I think James is a terrific passer and his lateral speed is awesome. His jump shot to me is suspect. there were some real phantom like calls on James last night and when this happens guys just back off because they know what the refs are doing so they have to play him like a kitten or get whistled like last night. Again i said before this playoffs started how this would shake out and in the east i have been 100 percent correct like the games were played already and this can't be denied because it is in print and if you don't have the guts to admit this then its just ignorance. Lebron is a good solid player and last night he played like a superstar if you can't read between the lines. Honestly, when you let announcers shape your wagers you shouldn't even be betting and that is what a lot of guys do. While we were hearing how this was the best playoff performance in the history of the game last night Miller, Barkley and who ever was the other guy (K Smith maybe)were saying the same thing i am typing. Why oh why iS Detroit not guarding him? Why no double teams? Why are they letting him set up? I think i know why and you could go back to my post in the last week of the season to see why. Lebron needs help to be a superstar and Wade didn't. Wade was guarded. Wade did like Lebron did last game get a lot of suspect calls his way when they were bringing him to his next level. Oh and by the way i am the same guy in a thread of Jacks that said the same thing about Peyton Manning on how when he never won when people thought he would, but this year nobody thinks he will so he will. I never did say Peyton was overrated tho because he isn't. When these leagues go out of their way to hype someone this much all these strange things seem to happen. You believe what ya want and i will believe what i want. I doubt one person has bet cleveland five straight times in this series but me and i know they stink. I also have a 4 to 1 wager on them to win this series after they were down 2-1 and it would have been higher if they offered it when they were down 2-0. If this was all honest like most believe Detroit would have wiped this shithole of a team out in our 4 straight. You know why the NBA didn't want Chicago anywhere near Cleveland thru the palyoffs? Because Chicago is a young team without guys like Billups and Cleveland would have had to rely on the refs to get by them. Chicago is also a better team then Cleveland and that is why they got to play Detroit because Detroit was the only one in the East capable of getting them out of the way for Clevelands easy ride thru the playoffs. Some people can see it and most can't.

i dont know what game a lot of people were watching, LJ was doubled many times in that game, esp. near midcourt to force a cough; prob is, hes so big and quick, sometimes it doesnt matter .... ask avery johnson how many times baron davis split his Mav doubles ....

sh*t happens, LJ played a monster game and now Cavs have great shot to win series ... hes 22 and cant take anything away from the kid other then his FTs need work, but guess what, he shot app. 75% before this year, my guess he wil end up pver 82% by time hes done in career ... dont forget the great steal he made on Prince crosscourt pass with Deet up 2 in OT ... kid does a lotta things out there

Karl Malone was a woeful FT shooter early in career and became pretty damn good
