Kellen Jr. going to hold out. Did you hear his agent? "Kellen is the LeBron James of the Cleveland Browns, he's that good."

You're a phucking tight end you idiot!!

Tight ends are not impact players!

I can't wait for this punk to fall on his face. Not likely. Maybe he'll pull a Shockey.

Hurricane attitude. I hope management says, "Phuck off!"

JMHO of course. :D

They'll sign him.

Believe it or not, he's the type of player that can really spark this dormant offense.

He is a biznatch though, but most likely a biznatch to play against too.

I think he's been watching too many Vin Diesel movies :D

Ha...

Well I heard Warner has re-applied for the Stock-Boy position that he turned his back on years ago when he joined the NFL. Ganon has also applied and appears to be the front runner for that job because Kurt didn't give his 2 weeks notice when he bolted for proffesional football.

Goes to show that you should never burn bridges. :D

I couldn't agree more. This kid is right out of the mold of his old man and unfortunately IMHO makes him an arrogant racist ass.

Winslow Senior was a great tight end, but his later years and first years of retirement proved he has some very prejudice views and has no problem voicing them. Imagine Winslow Jr being brought up in that environment and we can see some of the results by his behavior at Maimi, Fl.

It will be interesting to see what happens in Cleveland under HC Davis. Personally I hope he gets his butt handed to him a few times, but I don't think it will help, esp if he turns out to be as good as his old man.

Another Terrell Owens in the making.

I have heard that Winslow Jr is a terror on the field, that he is crazy/motivated to the extent of getting flagged a lot.
It sounds like he is a LB Ray Lewis/junior Seau type. If he learns to control and focus, he could be very good. Unfortunately, on offense, officials wont take that.

The Browns screwed up in that by moving up one place and giving up a second round pick, Winslow feels he should get paid his position + the second round money also.

This is the time of year when everything you hear is publicity.

No one wants to sign before the player drafted before them because they want max money. The agents have a fear that if they sign, and then later the player before signs a much better deal, it will make him look bad. They are thinking next years clients also.

Everything now is just BS.
Most coaches say the rookie is confused and needs work. They are thinking contract.

Bone head moves:
Accorsi, GM of the Giants.
If you are going to say the new #1 pick QB is the next Elway, at least wait until after he signs.
To Manning and his agent is shows:
A) The Giants could have the #1 pick next year which they gave to the Chargers for Manning. Plus they traded a #3 this year and a #5 next year. How much more is that added to Mannings contract?
B) They cut the starter Collins and gave the starting job to Manning already. Now they are realizing that bring in a veteran QB like Warner if only to tell Manning he isnt going to start and shouldn't get starter money
C) They have a copy of Peyton's contract. They will want to get Eli a little less, but he is the next Elway.

Eli will want to double the previous highest rookie contract ever. he has already told the press that he will sit out the entire year (if the Chargers draft him).

So the deal is to ask for Peyton's contract and slowly go down. I cant see this being resolved until near the end of the preseason.

i'm glad i'm not a giant fan as it looks like it will be long and messy with eli learning nothing in preseason due to lack of playing time

Winslow

Winslow

The guy is a punk. He was a great college TE, I'll give him that but there have been hundred like him that have been great but it is a little different pass blocking J.Pepper, Strahan and other all-pros than DE from UConn or Rutgers.

The image of that team......hmmm,
W. Green starting RB getting stabbed and arrested during a terrible season.
T. Couch a back-up QB making starter money and no one is willing to take him.
J. Garcia was TO's punching bag in SF, what do you think Winslow will have to say about him?
K.Winslow, A kid that is so high on himself he made Joe Gibbs wait for him.....I'm sure he'll be a team player

Offensively there is no leader or person to get in JR face when he does his little "I'm a Mother F--king solider man" locker room pep talks. The worst part about him is he cost Cleveland a second rounder. If the Skins took winslow I would have had to change my team after 26 years of loyalty

Face....leg...whatever. He's alive. No pity from me.
Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.

Of course, just my opinion.

bad loss for the browns. in just two games, he was already showing signs of why he was so highly touted coming out of college. browns veterans liked the kid and he had a chance to make a huge impact on their offense -- he was creating bigtime mismatches for them. looks like theyll have to wait until 2005. ouch.

I have to admit gman, I was thinking about you(not that way of course :) ) when that happened.
You've hung in there with your Cleveland teams and then, Whammo! But, one player does not a team make. Hang in there. Maybe his back-up will surprise everyone. They better figure out a way to protect Garcia 1st though. Man, what a bad day yesterday for him.

Continued success!

it would be too easy for a cleveland team to go through a season w/o suffering an injury to a vital player. its the way its been for, oh.....about 15 years now. its taught me to be cautiously optimistic. truthfully though, the only team i really expect to have a chance to win a championship anytime soon is the cavaliers. browns and indians just dont get me excited and im not in a hurry to shell out money to watch either team. if the cavaliers dont play for a championship by 2007 or 2008, then im going to really consider transferring my allegiance to another city, lol. theres no reason cavaliers shouldnt be one of the two best teams in the east within the next 2 or 3 years. remember to bump this thread (as a painful reminder) when lebron james or drew gooden goes down with an acl injury in the middle of the season. it would be fitting.
