Clearly some people are frustrated and mad at our current president. Nothing wrong with that.
But step back and think to yourself "where am I, and what am I trying to accomplish?"
We are on Madjacks, with presumably "friends" or at least fellow travelers in the gambling world. Furthermore you choose to come here, as we all do, at least in point to share ideas, discuss, debate, laugh, drink, and just check in to see what everyone is up to. Not that much different than any type of socializing in the world. One might call a friend or family member on the phone and do all those same things. So while we are on the internet and don?t *really* know each other, it?s not unlike any other relationship in your life.
If one views one?s actions here through that prism, one might start to see why some people get annoyed with one?s posts. I mean if someone called a friend on the phone every day and basically said ?OMG Obama sucks, Just My Humble Opinion? ? click?. Dial tone. Or even if one elaborated by including a ?link? to a random video that supported your frustration with the president, your friend still might be left somewhat ? tired. Your friend gets that you are frustrated, and that you need to vent about the president, because it really really bothers you. Venting is something we all do. That?s cool?.
But at some point you have to engage your friend; connect your frustration with the president somehow to him. Make him give a shit about it. And realize your friend might not agree with everything you say, or might come from a different place and time as you. Don?t intentionally irritate or antagonize your friend, because after all you are the one calling him. Do you wan him to keep picking up the phone, or are you ultimately content ranting to his voice mail? In which case you are basically admitting you are shouting in the wilderness and don?t care if anyone hears or not. And if THAT is the case, have some compassion for the people who aren?t just shouting.
This isn't directed at any one person, just my thoughts on what sometimes takes this part of the forum off the rails.
