I really don't see it as slinging mud since I think the guy is telling the truth. Just as the Dem's have been taken over by far out wack jobs like Soro's, the Republican party has been hijacked by far right religious wacko's! Both parties have sold their souls for the big bucks and they do not care where it comes from just as long as they get it and they will promise to promote any agenda no matter how it harms the average person. I actually find guys like Hackett to be quite refreshing since he doent mince words and speaks from his heart. One thing you have to remember about this guy is that he did two tours in Iraq and when he came home and ran for Congress the same wacko lady that attacked Murtha with lies tore Hackett's service to his country down and tried to belittle his patriotism.

MC -- It would have been a little less like mud slinging if he would have been also "speaking the truth" and pointing out the deficiencies in his own party. Without that, it's simply another politician blaming the other side.

Just being honest here...I personally can't stand the way Moveon.org has seemingly taken over as the beacon of communication for the democratic party. I can see why conservatives lambaste us for the way they so aggressively and continually beat any horse they can for their "cause."

I'm all for political ideology, organization to affect cause, and aggressively standing up for a way of thinking, but I think they turn off at least as many people as they turn on in respect to democratic theology. I get several e-mails a week from them, it really strikes me as overkill in many cases.

We all have to try to get back to reality somehow...not sure of the way, myself. I get as one-sided and worked up as the next guy.

I guess I blame Bush for all of this... :tongue

I know very few people who actually believe what the likes of Rush Limbaugh says.

I don't know where he's been, but it was amazing how I would let his opinions on things make my blood boil. Out of all the offensive people on this site (which djv is not offensive), I'm not sure why I've always let his posts burn me up so bad.

He told me he was in process of changing favorite places from NYT-CNN-ABC--ect to FOX-Drudge-Wallstreet Journel ect and its taking him a while.
