Vanished into vortex
You just never consider how the things you do really affect others. The church we attend is down the block from my in-laws and with parking at a premium near the church we park at my in-laws and walk to service (we're young, we can handle it), well maybe 3 months ago my wife was walking back to her moms from an evening service which I don't usually go to because I get up at 3:30, and she hears someone call faintly for help, she looks around the side of her mothers house to see the eldery widow next door had fallen in some mud and could not get back to her feet, of course my wife helped her inside and did not think much of it. This lady keeps to herself and we never really thought about it again until tonight. Like I said this woman is elderly and does not have much money or posessions, but when we took our kids to Grandma and Grandpa's to open their presents tonight a gift was waiting there for my wife from the neighbor lady, it wasn't anything spectacular, like I said she doesn't have alot, but the fact that she made that gesture turned on a lightbulb in our heads as to how important it was to her that my wife helped her that night. It was cold enough that night to make her very sick, or worse, but we honestly never thought more of it than helping someone off the ground and into their house, it was a great deal more than that to her obviously, and meant a great deal to my wife that she remembered her this Christmas.

What seems small to us may mean the world to another.

Take the time to help someone, in any small way this coming year, you have no idea how much it may mean to them.

Merry Christmas
