I just read an article in the local paper down here in Jackson saying the Ole Miss could still possibly go to a bowl if they finish the season 5-7... How on earth can you reward a below .500 team? In no way should this ever happen... I'm not just saying this because I'm a MSU fan either... Remember MSU finished 5-7 last year and I wouldn't have agreed to us being in a bowl... It is a priviledge to play in a bowl and sub .500 teams simply don't earn that privilege...

I've read that it's because there are too many bowl games. I don't know if I buy that or not. In my opinion, it's because all the bowls with conference tie-ins are tired of not getting conference related teams. You see it every year that bowls have to take at-large teams because there are not enough bowl elligible teams from their conference tie-ins.

they have added several more bowl games since last year and now 70 out of just over 100 teams that qualify for a bowl get bowl bids. To get a bowl bid from this year forward is really easy to get. Bowls are not what they used to be . way to many of them. speculation is that 70 teams will not have winning records thus teams from BCS conference will probally get a bowl bid with a 5-7 record.
I still think ole miss wins 6 games this year. they have 3 winnable games if not 4 left on their schedule.
