this morning for the first time in quite some time i ventured into the political forum....& all i can say is...:scared......yikes !!

i remember when the political forum at this site was the best & most civil of all of the sports forums on the net......now it's like all the rest....

all you read now are racist & anti-semitic remarks along with juvenile name calling....& the forum as a whole is so much more angry now then before...

sorry to see this happen...

i don`t remember that time when the political forum was without it`s share of rough housing...i must have missed that...

i don`t go in there as often as i used to...but it`s not because i`m cowed or timid...

yes it was a little nastier than usual.....but it`s politics....it was extremely rough for 8 years of bush(not sure what forum you were looking at for all those years,bud)...

and it`s probably gonna be rough for the obama years...should we shut down any dissent of this presidency?...should personal attacks be ignored?...

i mean,it`s a forum...it`s just words...it`s politics...and politics in this country are a contact sport...

jack came in and settled things down....he knows when to step in...jack steps in when things get crazier than usual...

and theres still plenty of solid debate...


my suggestion is that anybody that`s a tad thin-skinned,don`t go there....or use the ignore feature...

nobody`s arm is being twisted..

btw...ar...i love ya`...probably my fave guy on here since the very beginning...but,why is this thread in general?...

let me add....there is one particular poster in the political forum that i have a serious problem with...anybody that frequents the forum knows who this is....

it`s his right to post on an open forum...and my right to respond(as long as jack sees fit...it`s his business)...

the only time he posts is to defame america...and things american...it ranges anywhere from internet speed,to our military,to his glee at seeing the caskets of american soldiers coming home from iraq and afghanistan...any and all things american....it`s his mission...

for some reason,many are afraid to confront this ( noun/pronoun/adjective deleted...don`t want to upset anyone)----.........but i will confront him each and every step of the way....

it gets a bit nasty at times...but i don`t particularly care to abide guys like this that choose to partake of all the benefits of this country....while simultaneously propagandizing to further an agenda to defame it..and turn sentiment against it...

so i respond to this quisling(and those that,unfortunately,defend him).......at times,harshly...

if that`s offensive,i`m sorry...

you're speaking about spytheweb, and I agree; he's a total and complete forum hopping, hit-and-run douchebag. I'm still not convinced that he is from another country though. I think he's too polished with regards to the English language. If he wrote like RAYMOND, then I would believe it. kurby

I think there are people on both sides in politics who can't ever see fault with their own party. They're usually the ones arguing back and forth with each other in a tiresome manner.

AR182, Jack posted either yesterday or the day before that any more racist comments (like you're talking about) get a 3 day ban. Maybe it will clean up a bit?
