GL Clem....like Cal myself.

On the other side with Navy/CSU......reasoning is when a team is so one dimensional like Navy when any decent team & coaching staff has weeks of extra time to game plan for it they can find a way to not let it kill them. When you only have 5 days to prepare for Navy's option attack its a bitch, but with 3 or more weeks.....its doable.

3-0 with one terrible push.

Cal up 35 -14 and the defense or lack there of decided to take the rest of the game off. definitely feel I had the game capped right. Anyway looks like my bowl handicapping so far is trending well. Will add more games tonight for the weekend.

Merry Christmas

clem...

excellent work !!

i was fortunate that i got calif.at -6......

the calif. coach is highly regarded but some of his moves & play calling were very unimpressive....

with a high octane offense like byu has, i think it was a mistake to shut down his offense in the 4th quarter like he did.....

although navy was the right play, imo....their sos & the fact that 95% of the internet was on navy kept me away....next time i should just play who i cap....

continued success...

Yo clem. i like ur picks so far. I've been with you on all except i took BYU. Teasing these games a little is the way to go in my opinion. good job so far though

I was just wondering if you had an opinion about Colorado vs Clemson. i heard some key players are out for Colorado, didnt know what the story was or anything.

If you already posted on the game then maybe i just cant find it. please remind me. Maybe u havent gotten on it yet who knows.

Thanks - Lankford

MPC Computers Bowl

Boise St. 4:30pm

(19) Boston Coll.

The Novelty of playing in a bowl game every year at home has warn off for Boise state according to their soon to be ex coach:

Do you want to go on vacation to Boise in the winter or to Hawaii in the winter?" asked Boise State coach Dan Hawkins. "If you've experienced a lot of winter, you kind of hope for someplace warm."

The Broncos shared the WAC championship with Nevada, the fourth straight year they won at least a piece of the title. Even though Boise State beat Nevada 49-14 on Oct. 29, the Wolf Pack got invited to the Hawaii Bowl against Central Florida on Christmas Eve.

"There's a certain amount of pressure or pull out there that says, 'Boy, unless Boise State goes undefeated, we're going to get them here so we can really have a packed house," Hawkins said. "There's a little bit of frustration about that."

Boston College is going for their 6th straight bowl victory and is simply treating this like a regular road game. They had some injuries that hampered them this year. Look for BC to be able to run on the broncos with a very good but underated O line. Making a small play on the Eagles based on Strength of Schedule and a proven Bowl Coach going against a staff that is making its plans for Colorado next year.

Alamo Bowl

(20) Michigan 8:00pm

Nebraska

Don't get me wrong what Callahan did with Nebraska is a nice story. He has gotten his system in place and the precision passing game is taking flight. For me in the bowls its all a bout defense and running. I think Michigan has an edge in both areas. They play a tougher strength of schedule and closed the season strong, all things you have to look at. i think Nebraska is happy to be here and Callahan is a little out of his element here.

Emerald Bowl

(24) Georgia Tech 4:30pm

Utah
The Utes came on strong at the end of the season and think the young Qb is going to be something in the near future but they are playing a very formidable defense who has played a who's who of top 25 teams. Strength of schedule is overwhelming in favor of tech here.I know Utah rushes for 4.30 per carry and 179 a game but they will not be able to do this against tech who gives up 2.88 a carry and only 98 a game. Gtech runs fro 4.02 a carry and 156 a game which is identical to what Utah gives up. I'm more apt to believe that Tech will be able to have there way on the ground more so than Utah due to strength of schedule and experience.
