Took it on the chin last week and lost 1200 while going 1 and 1. Thought I picked a good spot. I expected Cleveland to lay down a little and the Bengals not to be flat. Cleveland did not lay down and the Bengals were flat early. Stupid to increase my bet in that spot.

Lesson learned

Ytd 36-19 +20,040 and hovering at 65.4 percent.

I got a few games in play this week.

Tampa playing its 3rd road game in 20 days and coming up into the cold I would say would normally spell Bucs doom. Couple that with the Bucs winning a huge divisional showdown at Carolina may spell flat city for the Bucs. The thing is the Pats have Brady nicked up and they really don't need the game as much as you would think. The AfC Least is all but theirs, and they can not really do better than the 4th seed. I would not be shocked if the Pats sit Brady who is banged up, or at least rest him if he gets hit early. I think this game will be tight and think there is plenty of room for a buc cover. Bucs know a loss and they are back tied with Carolina with Atlanta and New Orleans next. Chucky has to be selling the point that a win here Saturday and a split in the final two at home should get his boys the division. I'm not sure they win but they will get the cover.

Tampa + 5 (-120)

This is the life week 15

This is the life week 15

I may be the only guy in the country dumb enough to play this game. Here goes my reasoning. Seahags win an emotional game at home in OT against a good team in the Giants. They then fly cross country and get no contest from the eagles and then fly back cross country on a short week and get no contest from the 49ers. Now they are flying back cross country and getting the key ingredient.. a 1pm eastern start or 1oam their time. I also think they are believing their own headlines and will come out asleep for this game.
They are 11-2 and have the number 1 seed close to salted away and teams normally do not play as hard as you think they do when playing for seeding or homefield until they get some pressure from someone else. I think they may look ahead to next week against the Colts at home especially since their dimbulb coach had the following:
"We have the opportunity to do some wonderful things," Holmgren said. "I can't see that there would be any chance of a letdown"
Well Mike that is your first mistake. You don't see a letdown. A letdown bites you on the ass.

Titans +7.5 (-120) local

I really like Tampa here too. If the Pats do win, it will be by a FG.
But its very possible that the Bucs will win this outright.

good luck!

I'm not sure if your on the right side on this one Clem because of the way the Titans offense is banged up...the Titans defense and special teams will need to step up BIG TIME along with the Seahags being caught looking ahead to their matchup with the Colts next week for this one to happen...I like the job that Jeff Fischer has done with the youngest team in the league this season but they are facing arguably the hottest team in the league at this time...my offshore has the Seahags up to -9 at this time...I played the Hags in a 10 point Teaser so I just need them to win.

Good Luck! :mj14:

Clem

That was a good one.

I think alot of teams don't see a severe ass whooping coming either.

Clem,

First, let me just say great season so far. Don't be so hard on yourself, you're allowed to lose a game every once in a while! As for your picks, I like them both. Tampa has a great running game and the #2 total defense in the NFL, yet they've been underrated all year long for some reason. The Pats on the other hand... isn't this the same team everyone thought was terrible just a couple of weeks ago?! Now their QB is questionable and they're laying 5 here?! Very strange.

You're not dumb at all to go against the Seahawks this week either. I don't care what happened in Philly, they are NOT a good road team. And historically, 1 PM EST starts on the road kill them. Most importantly though, and you called it perfectly, I think they're going to be too busy patting themselves on the back to be concerned about a team they probably think they can just show up against and beat convincingly. Remember, they almost lost to the Niners on the road earlier this year.

Good luck and thanks for posting your picks...

Chiefs +3
Hate pulling the trigger against the Gmen but can see KC running the ball at will in this game with Green hitting his spots as the run opens up things. Gmen are so banged up. Pierce loss is devastating for run stoppage. O line is banged up badly. Chiefs are desperate and I think they win outright here.

Everybody keeps forgetting that the Seahawks are also missing 3 defensive backs and that they are terrible outside the conference circle the wagons on the ugly games this week as the dogs will come barking in.

I like the Tits here.

Seattle is coming off of two conference games and moving into a matchup with Indy. This is a classic spot for a let down. The Titans play hard every week. Give me all the points, I'll take the TITS.
