WHY ARE CARD COUNTERS BANED FROM PLAYING BLACKJACK ?
Vinnie, card counters making a living off it are dinasours now. Cannot be done. Certainly not anywhere in Vegas or AC.
I said this, because I can rightly assume that Clem is not a card counter. Only about 1 percent of 1 percent of players that say they can count can actually do it right, and I don't just mean counting, I mean the betting patterns and such to avoid being detected. Automatic shufflers are beginning to become the norm. Eyes in the sky can all count themselves and can detect any abnormal betting patterns. They only cut 8 decks about 5 deep now. Playing anything more than 25 a hand is gonna get you at least watched upstairs if you vary your betting patterns wildly as you need to do when you have a positive count. You get blackbooked all over vegas if you get caught at one. Same with AC.
I know two full time counters who were very good at what they did, and "did" is the key word. Too much heat these days and the casinos know how to spot all of them and can elminate most by having automatic shufflers. Card counters making a living are dinasours. There might be 100 in the country right now, and it isn't getting easier for em. I'm also saying making a living. Plenty of people can count ample enough to play small stakes and grind a small profit, but clems got a seahag to support and having only a 1 percent edge which is the best you'll ever get counting and grinding out 50 bucks a day ain't gonna get it done.
I was also responding to Clem when I answered his post, and I'm sure he's not a card counter.
So vinnie, technically card counting can be done, but it takes a rare person to do it right and be able to get away with it at levels that you can make a living on.
