THROW ALL YOUR FAWKING STATS OUT THE WINDOW....!!!!
:moon:

all kidding aside.

this is how baseball just doesn't make alot of sense this season.....

FYI: today's chi sox debacle agaist that powerhouse tigers team.

Detroit wrapped up its second sweep of the season, also winning three games in Baltimore May 5-7. The Tigers' last sweep at home came July 23-25, 2002, against Kansas City.

The Tigers swept the White Sox at home in a series of at least three games for the first time since 1988.

thank you...can't explain that....sicne 1988!!!!!

fawk this.

and for all you CHI-SOX fans:

The Tigers, 24-65 overall, evened the season series with the White Sox at 6-6, including six wins in the last eight meetings. ... The White Sox have lost five of their last six games by one run and won just one of six games against the Tampa Bay Devil Rays and the Tigers, who have the two worst records in the American League.

contenders.....?? naw, don't think so.:nono:

Well, you can included me in the group that had the ChiSox today. Was actually the only one I liked today. Still feel it was worth money even at the price they had on them. The Sox and with Loaiza current form vs Cornejo's current form will win 4 in 5......today was that 1 in 5 I guess. I don't lay -200 except for a few times a year, but it was just one of those days that the White Sox decided to defy the odds and not score against Cornejo...and who would of thought that the league leader in ERA would actually lower his ERA in this game and still lose?? Speaking of Cornejo, here's some of the numbers on him:

Nate Cornejo will be getting the start for the Tigers in this one and to put it really simply, this guy is a TOTAL MESS right now?.that includes the mental part of pitching where anyone and everyone is trying to tell him what's wrong or how to pitch. If you can remember, this guy was actually pretty good early in the season, but now has gone 10 straight starts without a winning decision and has 5 straight losing decisions. Cornejo hasn't won in 2 months with his last win coming back on May 11th.

Cornejo has given up 6 earned runs in 4 of his last 5 starts and in those last 5 starts, he has given up a total of 26 earned runs off of 53 hits in just 23 innings! Are you serious? Yes, and Cornejo has also given up more hits than innings pitched in his last 7 starts and over that same 7 game span, he has walked more than he has struck out (12 walks vs just 6 strikeouts).

Cornejo in 5 lifetime starts vs the White Sox has a whopping 7.50 ERA, a huge 2.28 WHIP, and has allowed the ChiSox batters to hit for a combined .364 average vs him. He has also surrendered 6 home runs in those games, which span just 18 total innings and has walked almost twice as many as he has struck out (13 walks and just 6 strikeouts).

Just goes to show you that nothing is a sure thing in baseball and anything can or may not happen on any given day...just don't let it change the basics of your capping...more times than not the numbers won't lie.

GL to everyone tonight. :)
