The first few minutes are optional and will clearly rub some the wrong way, but from 4:20 on is Carlin being the genius he is/was.

While Carlin made many good points over his career, I can't listen to the guy for more than ten seconds. It's like listening to a woman complain constantly. I don't want to sit through his complaints to hear a few good points.

Dude was miserable too. Never an upbeat and positive guy. A downer from beginning to end. (Except early on in his career)

He used to be a stand up comedian early on, then he just turned into a sad old man that can only complain.

I guess that's all some people can do and listen too.

Penguin, is this guy your hero?

Then don't listen to him.

Nothing worse then people who complain about shit that they do not like, if they are not upbeat about it then fuck em I do not want to hear from them.

I think he makes a lot of correct and well thought out statements. It would have been better if he did it differently IMO.

Carlin was an American comic icon for fifty years and you think he would have been better if he did it differently?
He did change though the last ten years and became much more negative and morbid. Probably your exposure to form that opinion.

I wouldn't go that far, but he's certainly among my favorites. Whether or not you like his delivery, the man was a genius.

If more people in this country thought like he did it would be a different and better place. Unfortunately we are a country full of people who allow gov't to take what they want when they want under the guise of "freedom".
