The Democrat Senate has yet to pass a bill to address the debt ceiling, has refused to even vote on the bill the House already passed and sent to them, and has not attempted to pass a federal budget (as required by law and has been done by all previous senates) in 800+ days and counting.

If they were working for a private company they would be fired and charged with outright negligence.

I have to laugh. The liberal media is accusing the TEA PARTY of holding the nation hostage. This fringe, radical group that they have tried to minimize and demonize is now capable of holding the country hostage because they are ideologues and won't budge on their views about the deficit?
Which is it? Are they a fringe, radical group that needs to be marginalized and their numbers discounted or are they a political force that needs to be reckoned with?

Much like other countries with multiple political factions who need to form coalitions, it would be interesting if the Tea Party became it's' own party and therefore, might initiate coalition governing and compromise in Congress.

Besides - who needs a budget when you can just print your own cash and raise the debt ceiling?

I'm not really a fan of the Tea Party but, I have to admit that it has taken something radical to get to the point we are at today...and that is a positive comment as we are finally at a tipping point to take back control of the government.

Sure some people who have lived off the government for years are going to drop out of the safety net...they should have never been supported by taxpayers to begin with.

Let's provide a shock to the system by not raising the debt limit...look what raising it consistently has gotten us. I think the credit rating is down the drain anyway.

The next step is immediate cuts not talking about those for the next 10 years.

I'm tired of hearing about "the market". Boehner was trying to get something done last Sunday before the Asian 'market' opened. You hear other politicians talking about how the 'market' will react.

Are we just trying to save the market or are we working towards something that is better for our country?

The liberal media? I am so sick of this shit. Do you know why the media is taking that stance? It's because the tea party threatens the two party system that has fucked over the middle class for decades in favor of corporations. Oh and who owns the media? Corporations. Is that making sense yet?

While I think the tea party is about 70% racist pieces of shit, I do applaud the idea of people standing up and telling the establishment no. I just wish they weren't fucking brain dead.

i hope some day that you are enlightened, Trampled.

Just because people don't agree with you, does not mean that they are racists or bigots or homophobes.
