Those Lovable French

I was just recently made aware of reports that some French spectators at the Tour De France had SPIT on Lance Armstrong during his winning runs at the tour.

I was somewhat skeptical of this until today. Today, I saw video coverage of the Tour and low and behold, on several occasions, French spectators were actually caught on film spitting on Lance Armstrong.

These were not even just casual instances of spitting; they were in your face violent actions that were meant not as a goof but were meant with all out haltered and malign.

I have yet to see a report of the French Government condemning these actions and giving an apology to Mr. Armstrong. Given this, I can only assume that these actions be it not openly, are supported by the French Government and the French People.

Most of the people who worked on Fahrenheit 9/11 stormed the south of France this week. The twenty minute standing ovation after the premiere was twenty minutes longer than any standing ovation most of us had ever received before. We'll be posting more pictures from the festival soon (including some from the exciting Bad Santa party last night!), but here's a little taste of Cannes and what Michael's been up to. -M.Moore.com
