dont forget, the chargers are:
1) the most talented team in the nfl (although i hear that in almost every dallas game as well)
2) the hottest team in the nfl
let's recap how hot they are:
1) a bumbling raiders team that was in a free-fall who hasnt beat sd in about 5 years goes down on the road at san diego
2) a surging chiefs team led by len dawson, hank stram.....wait....it was tyler pigpen and herm "i play to win the game" edwards......and the 2 win chiefs were one first down, one onsides recovery or 1 made fg away from beating the chargers (all happened inside the 2 minute warning).....but the chargers managed to stay "hot" with a miracle win
3) the powerhouse bucs and their dominating defense get shredded vs sd, just like the bucs did vs every team they played the last 4 week, including the offensively challenged raiders....but the chargers stay "hot".
4) the orange crush defense came rolling in with no chance at stopping sd....their only hope was matching them score for score and getting a lucky break somewhere....didnt happen and the game was over in 2q.......but the chargers stay "hot"
contrast this to how ice cold the colts are, winners of 9 straight, including one vs sd and you can see why this talent laden, hot home team, led by norv turner should prevail.
that said, it should be a close game throughout but by no means is this charger team "HOT" and "on a roll"
