i'd like to hear what everyone thinks about this game today. sox have been on a tear, as have american league favs in IL, both home and away. they were beat on a walk-off homer yesterday, concluding a series that the pirates were a lot more interested in than they were. books have got to be taking a lot of sox money today, as the cubs have looked absolutely awful against the sox this year (and against pretty much every other team as well). line has inched up a few cents from the open (pinny opened at -158). something is telling me that this is a bad spot for the sox. i've always been leery of garland as a big road chalk. kid is uber-talented, and now somewhat overlooked, but there is still some guesswork as far as what you'll get from him day in and day out. lee is back for the cubs, gives them a big boost both in offense and the clubhouse. i'm almost talking myself into a play on the cubs. it seems that there is value there @+155.

I'm just going to chase the sox to win a game in the series, no way in hell the cubbies sweep them.
