I've looked at the majority of the threads and I haven't seen any insight on the biggest game of the weekend
Here's my take... Unfortunately, for my Irish the weakest part of the team is the defensive line. They are young and not very deep. So I see Tenuta stacking the box and blitzing Barkley from the first minute of the game. The only problem with his blitzing schemes is that the dline doesn't give much of a push outside of Ethan Johnson and KLM.
The game will come down to how the corners of ND play Williams and Rojo (Who is back) their only true deep threat all game long. If we get beat on the one on one battles we will lose.
ND offense... I see ND's offensive line struggling on their pass protection. Hopefully, Weis will do a lot of three step drops to counter this... It sucks that M. Floyd is not playing... IMO he's the best receiver in college, but we do have G. Tate and K. Rudolph (who was the number1 TE coming out of HS) I figure USC will jam Rudolph off the line and shift their coverage over to Tate. We need Kamara (Who has disappeared since his freshman year) or Shaq Evans a talented freshman speedster to make plays.
I think Weis will add some wrinkles with the wildcat, but it won't be enough. I think The Irish will cover, but will lose like 28-20 or somewhere around that margin.
