Yes............but here's the numbers from covers.com on each team's conference numbers broken down by halves:

S. Hall Pitt.
Offense Defense Offense Defense
Points 66.3 69.7 Points 66.3 69.7
1st Half 31.3 29.7 1st Half 29.3 28.3
2nd Half 34.1 39.3 2nd Half 39.4 34.7

So we've got SH games going 61 in the first half and Pitt games going at 57.6. offense v. defense = sh 29.8 and pitt 29.5 =59.3

Home v Away for the whole season didn't matter much either. Pitt is giving up 25pts in the first half at home.

I think Valuist mentioned a big east pattern of under in the first half on a thread earlier this week. Vegas must be catching up with it. Is there anything out of the ordinary that would point you to the over? 61 seems low, but I'm not so sure now.

Thanks Nighthorse, good info.

Out of the ordinary:

Brandin Knight went to Seton Hall Prep school. His father, Mel, played basketball at Seton Hall University and his mother, Brenda, works at the university. Growing up in New Jersey, one of Brandin Knight's dreams was to wear the Seton Hall uniform. But Seton Hall wasn't interested in Knight.

Also, this is Pittsburgh's first game on national television (ESPN) and I'm sure they'll want to show off.

The Big East totals seem to go way under first half, with a 2nd half over. It seems teams play real deliberate, then decide to do an about face at halftime. Remember, you'll usually get less pts in the 1st half because you won't get the foul-a-rama in the final minutes.
