well not really only one of these plays is a night game but just got back in the house from duck hunting out front and the weather dip this morning suggests tonight may really be a three dog night. anyway, hunkering down at home today, have had a decent hoops year so far so I thought I would take a walk down memory lane and toss a few plays up. all are conference home dogs in good spots, all got some virgin line action:

nc state +5
tcu +10
Dartmouth +4

thanks cm. I leaning to the favs this weekend. maybe manning can pull one more win out of his ass but I just think that's asking too much when belichick is aware of pm's limitations and will plan accordingly. likewise I think the panther d will tee off on palmer and cam will be running his ass off.

Loophole, did you follow NC St back in the early 80's ? Not sure how old you are. A friend of mine played there who was a pretty good ballplayer.

I think so too, wufdude. if state can win @pitt then they can beat duke in the rbc. everyone keeps thinking k will wave some magic wand and fix them but I don't think that's going to happen. and blue devils are @Miami on Monday. six in a row?

Scott Parzych. Played from 79-83. Heard lots of stories about Jimmy V.

Oh yeah, the big redhead. I was just cutting my teeth with Pack hoops at that time. I'm sure a young Jimmy V was a helluva good time. Quite a transition after being signed by Norm Sloan I'm sure. Hawkeye Whitney from that era was the first superstar I remember watching as a kid.

I was class of '73. actually played some p/u ball in the gym on occasion with dt. monte towe and the boys. back in the day stormin' norman let them do that. don't think that would happen today with all the money at stake. in '83 watched the natl championship game sitting on a barstool at the pr in Raleigh. got to relive that experience when state beat Carolina last year, sitting on the same bar stool with some old school buds, including owner gus who was at state at the same time as i.

Yeah, we played a lot of ball back in the old neighborhood. Terry Gannon was from the old neighborhood too, but he was younger.

Oops, he played '78-'82. He got his degree in '83. He was a senior the year before they won the National Championship. He still keeps in touch with a lot of those guys from the Championship team that he played with his senior year.
