Georgia Bulldogs Vs Arkansas Razorbacks

At stake - SEC championship, possible trip to Fiesta Bowl if Dogs pull out the victory.

Arkansas has gone undefeated since starting 1-3 in their league.
The game will be played in the Georgia Dome on the carpet. If you are lucky to enough to have a ticket don't hang around after the game if ya get my drift.

With a Coach Nutt at the helm how can these razorbacks go wrong.

On Oct 19 the Arkansas hogs dropped to 1-3 in the SEC with a 29-17 losss to Kentucky. Since then its been victories and they do it in a multitude of ways.

Remember the Razorbacks win at Auburn 38-17 and how hard a struggle the Geogia Bulldogs had playing in Auburn, lucky to get out with a bullpup.

The bulldogs didnt want to play the Auburn Tigers again and they made it clear in the papers that they much preferred to play the shitty Arkansas or LSU teams.
And you don't think that Coach Nutt put this up in the locker room? If he didnt I would have to question his Nutts.

Against all mutual opponents however, Georgia was 6-0 and the Razorbacks 3-3. thats kinda scary.

Georgia is good but Arkansas will hang with them. Alot of tension on Georgia to win this game. Arkansas comes in loose as a goose and may win it outright. I like the points. I keep hearing that Jessy Lover & Gibber and Wizz and others talk about underdogs.

I hope these guys are also on Arkansas.

If they aint then :thefinger :thefinger them and the horse they rode in on.

The play is Arkansas +8 1/2 !

I am on this BIG!

GA has been playing close games all yr, whether it's playing down to the opponent or getting the clutch win. UGA beat sc, bama, tenn, and aub by a total of 14 points. A couple of different breaks and UGA could have easily lost all of those games (remember Aub, S.C. fumble, etc..?). Ark was 2-2 SU but 3-1 ATS against those same teams.
GT is not the game to gauge UGA against. When the 2nd qtr started GT was done and completely laid down. Plus, Ark would beat the crap out of GT too.

NOW LOOK, call it coincidence or whatever

- 2001 LSU (8-3, #21) vs Tenn (10-1, #2)
- 2002 ARK (9-3, #22) vs UGA (11-1, #4)
- 2001 LSU won 5 straight leading into the SEC champ
- 2002 ARK won 6 straight leading into the SEC champ
- 2001 Tenn wins SEC champ and could play for nat. champ.
- 2002 UGA wins SEC champ and could play for nat. champ. (not likely but it is a possibility)
- 2001 LSU +7, won outright 30-21
- 2002 ARK +8, ?????????

Who knows?

I disagee that the pressure is all on GA, I think they realize that they won't play for a Nat Championship even if Miami loses, so essentially this game is for the SEC and a BCS bowl bid, which I think takes some of the pressure off of GA, I think they go into this game and won't play as tight as they might have had they had a chance to play for Nat championship, plus I think Ark is just happy to be here after thier win against LSU and they get run out of the building.

Tennessee was coming off of a huge win over Florida, at the swamp last year! They played ok for a quarter and then LSU put the hammer to them.
Arkansas is in the same situation, after their win over LSU , last week. I don't believe that even Houston( rah-rah) Nutt can get them up for the entire game.
Arkansas-------- can only run--one dimentional
Georgia---------can run and pass and has huge playmakers on offense and defense.
Huge Georgia Dome crowd should help the dogs too.
Look for a close game for the first half and for the dogs to cover late.

hahaha!

I don't own it but as much $ as I have spent in there I might as well own a couple of the tv's inside there ;)

Truth be told I have only been there twice but if I do frequent a nudie club it's usually the oasis.

I am starting to like your ARK play the more I look into. I believe the hog's are getting tired of hearing how Alabama SHOULD be in this game..tired of hearing how LSU SHOULD have beat them. To me this should make them relish their underdog role in this game that much more. Plus I think being a very physical team will help them against GA who is more of a finesse team. I know all about the quote from earlier in the yr about how GA isn't man enough to beat..blah blah blah. I think ARK is physical enough and talented enough to get w/in this # and may even pull an upset.

thanks for responding Crazy. I was just wondering because I got kicked out of the Crazyhorse Saloon one time for being drunk. And hell everyone in there was in the can. Dont really remember about the details much.

Not only is the Arkansas tired of hearing about the other SEC that should be there. They are pissed. If there is one thing that gives the biggest edge to a underdog team its emotion. Yeh they want this game. I could give two aunt tillys if they win, I just want them to cover the 8.5!

Dont See It!!

Dont See It!!

I have to disagree. I saw the Arkansas LSU game and Arkansas had trouble stopping an LSU offense that is completely horrendous with no stars what so ever. What do you think Georgia is going to do with that Arkansas pass defense that is ranked almost last in the conference. Although I respect your opinion on taking the points I dont see Arkansas covering as Georgia just has too much talent overall and the home field crowd rooting for a blowout. Good Luck

LSU had 353 total yds, but held davis and toefield to just 95 yds. LSU is averaging 193 y/g rushing. I'd say they really didn't have much trouble stopping LSU. Plus UGA's offense isn't world beaters.

ARK UGA
rush/gm 243 140
pass/gm 134 254

Difference of a grand total of 17 total yds. So why is UGA this great offense all of the sudden? They aren't much better than Arkansas, and ARK gets a 8.5 pt lead. :nono:

Way off base on this one. Georgia's offense has finally found it's groove and Ark. has no chance to stop them. This might be the easiest cover of the year. I am going balls to the walls on Georgia.

One other point. I have watched Ark. play twice this year in person. They make a living with their HUGE off. Line. Only problem is Georgia has the best D. Line in the SEC. and one of the top in the nation. They will dominate ARk on both sides of the ball.

Final UGA 36 Ark 7.:nono:

Any team good enough to beat both South Carolina and Clemson in the same season deserves the SEC Championship. :brows:

Just kidding of course...I think UGA gets the cover here.

clem

you may be right but then why isnt the point spread +17 ?

Jones QB for Hogs is one hell of a athlete and can run out of trouble. He has had a year to grow up. This guy makes plays happen and I am counting on him to keep this close.

The hogs are very physical, have a sound running game, and know how to take care of the ball. Arkansas has the SECs
number #1 rushing offense averaging 243.3 yards per game. They average 5.1 yards per carry.

In the 21-20 game with LSU that put Arkansas in the SEC final , Jones had completed only two passes at 2-13. With the game on the line Jones completed a 50 yarder to Richard Smith and a 31 yard touchdown pass to DeCori Birmingham with nine seconds left on the clock.

As good as Georgia is this sounds like a close game down to the wire.

lol, some pretty funny posts in there.

I think you have the right side. Looser team. Maybe not the better team, but Nutt will have the boys geeked Saturday.

GL, man. Hope you need a wheelbarrow to carry out all the greenbacks Saturday.

Hey you know I have been thinking as I am prone to do at times.

The Miami game is at 1 PM Saturday and the Ga vs Ark is at 6 PM.

If Miami wins their game then Georgia loses some incentive to win their game for National title hopes. They still want to win the SEC championship but not quite so much. Keeps game close I think. A let down!

If this happens I am throwing another dime on the HOGS!

Damn this sports betting really makes me think.
The trick is to be able to think like the players. Emotion pays Boys.

GO HOGS!!!

I think GA comes out fired up regardless of the Miami outcome for this simple fact that they are still playing for a BCS bowl, whether they think it's the Fiesta if Miami loses of if Miami wins they are playing for the Sugar bowl. If I am GA I still want to go to a BCS bowl, Na champ or not. I don't see them having a let down if Miami wins. I am not saying they will be any more fired up than ARK, I just don't see them having a let down.
