I am 0-2 on bases this playoff season, but have to try to bring home a great NFL day with this crowning blast...
Although I do not have extreme confidence in Dice-K, I have to think with the entire staff essentially in play tonight that he will not have a long leash. However, I also think he is enough of a big-game gamer to understand the magnitude of this situation and perhaps really get the funk going. The Sox absolutely are feeling it now, after stepping up when it mattered, and knowing the Ortiz and Manny ALWAYS step up in game sevens, I have to lay the wood (actually thought it would be more) and back the pretty obvious play here.
I can honestly see (if necessary) Beckett taking the hill for an inning or two later on, and some of the unsung guys on this squad helping the mainstays get into the key situations.
Good Luck, Mr. Westbrook. You couldn't do it when it didn't matter...now, you can keep it together in this spot? I don't see it.
