I like OKC too Mully.

Who the hell is going to guard Durant? I think that's the big factor here. OKC can shut down SA inside game.

So for me, it comes down to this....

Who stops Durant, and who wins the PG battle? That'll decide the series...

Remember that they have already played twice this year with the Spurs sweeping the series. Durant had some ok games, but nothing truly spectacular. The difference was Tony Parker. You're thinking no one can defend Durant, well no one did defend Tony Parker. He averaged 33pts in the two games and was by far the difference maker in the games. OKC was also outrebounded in both games with Duncan pulling in 19 in one of the games. If this series goes anything like the previous games, I guess I just don't see where you're coming from. I think it will be a very tight series with home court being the factor. I'll take the Spurs in 6 or 7.

Actually they played 3 times with Spurs taking the season series 2-1.The Spurs didnt have Ginobli in any of those 3 games I like the Spurs to take the series.

Playoffs are a completely different beast. How teams this good and this late in the playoffs did against each other during the season is completely irrelevant. Playoffs are completely 100% all about matchups.

I'll always go with the team who has the best player on the court.

Spurs been waiting for this since last yr ended, and most of their losses this yr were games Popvich sat his players. I'll take the team with the exp,and deep bench. And taking the team with the best player doesn't always win ask Lebron.Should be a good series either way.

So. Cal
16-0
28-2 (1 loss when rested duncan, parker and ginobli)
avg margin win about 16 points

if this team were in la, bos or ny or coached by phil jackson or had a guy who stars in commercials they'd be hailed as one of the best teams/runs in the history of the nba

instead......they continue to be undervalued.

love okc but think the spurs will guard them tight focing a jump shooting team into a jump shooting team shooting contested jumpers......this year, sa can and will win high scoring games.

I had the Thunder preseason as my pick and haven't seen anything that's changed my mind yet. It's been a LONG time since this old ass Spurs team played a decent team. Thunder made easy work of two much tougher opponents. Youth, talent and sharpness will be in OKC's favor. Only advantage Spurs have is Parker at PG and experience. Should be a good series, but I'll take the team that's younger, hungrier and better. OKC in 6.

I hear all the "experts" talking about the Spurs all the time. Not sure how they are undervalued being 5.5 point favorites to OKC. They're a good (not a great) team, but this is not one of the best runs in NBA history. They keep up the pace against OKC, then they can enter that particular conversation. If they only lose none or one to OKC, then I'll believe in their greatness. They haven't proven dick in the playoffs yet though.

I don't get this whole 'undervalued' stuff with the Spurs either?!?!

They are the favorites to win it all.... they are the favorites in this series, they are 5.5 point faves in game 1, they have been double digit faves in every home game in the first 2 rounds of the playoffs (most of all teams by far), and 5 out of 6 'experts' on ESPN have them as winning it all!!!

This whole undervalued thing is such a myth.
