WLA went 8-3 yesterday and I went 4-1. How did I play a loser when my plays go 9-3. Just consider these WLA plays as help behind the plate today. I've got a lot of work to do to find what I really like.

Hey gsp, Ana I played all by itself today at 1:00. 300-540. I didn't post it cause I was gonna wait to hook it up with something as soon as I see how I do this afternoon. Looking at Ariz und 9. When I am hot I charge, when not hot I back way off.

You can't depend on much in bb. If you noticed WLA had Balt going over 9 today based on Wally Bell (last night's first base ump) being behind the plate.) Instead, we got a new crew with Andy Fletcher who went under. Bell was in KC and they scored 14 runs. Just a little over 9. When you have 4 games in a series is when this will happen most often and you don't have much warning.

gsp, I'm curious as to why you liked Bell going over yesterday. Prior to last night I had him 8-1 under for the last nine. Was not following JHirschbeck as he has most of the year a factor?

Marlowe, I track these umps several different ways. Their over/under record is just one of the things I go by. In his last 9 games he went under 4 times, over once, under 4 more times. His longest streak this year has been 4. These things, I call patterns. Based on some other ways I track, Bell's longest streak has always ended at 4. Based on that information my educated guess was that his next game would go over. Believe it or not I have signals that are even more reliable like the Det game which was the only game I played yesterday. There's more to it than this but I think I've hit the highlights.

Thanks gsp. Except for early, mid, and late season I never paid much attention to ump patterns before but will now start looking for new perspectives. I have my own subjective ratings for each game by an ump and am already starting to see previously unrecognized patterns, as much or more so than with their over/under records. I appreciate your opening my eyes.
