Central Florida -22.5 over Akron ****
Zips 0-26 on the road but 5-1 ats lyr on the road...last year CF blew them out 56-14..35-0 at half in Akron...Bortles passed for over 3,000 yds,threw 25 and rushed for 7 or 8....top WR is back,good OL line but even though they lost some defense they are much quicker esp at the Lb's....Zips play the no huddle with a new Qb..offense should be better but their defense can't stop anyone..can't stop the run and a weak secondary...plus Zips have to play on grass not pro grass..they are 1-4 ats on grass...think this game is a blowout...CF defense isn't the same as last yr but their offense should out score the Zip offense by a lot...new conf for CF..the Big east..oops the AAC...the Zips no huddle slows down on the natural grass and Bortles and co. bury the Zips..
Fresno -11 over Rutgers **
Had the line at -10 but waited to long.
Fresno has Carr who can throw the ball down field.Over 4,000 yds and 62% completions..doesn't throw to many ints....Rutgers faded big time last year due to Nova their Qb...he was terrible and maybe got his act together this year...RU defense was great lyr ...but RU lost their best defensive player in Greene..POY in BE the past 2 yrs..also lost their off. work horse Jamison....RU wr Coleman is a stud but Nova is so bad he will under or over throw him....RU's strength was defense and they lost 5 starters...their offense in last yrs final 3 games scored 10,6, and 17...plus Fresno was one of the top defensive teams in creating turn overs...with Nova coming in the Bulldogs are licking their chomps.
Fresno was 6-0 at home outscoring everyone by 31 pts and avg 550 yds..I know that is vs the Hawaii's,Wyomings,and Air forces and RU is above that class...but think Black Knights see to much Carr tonite...they win by 2 or 3 td's...if Nova plays like he ended up at the end of the season Fresno wins in a blowout...
