GL today Ray...I hope it's Det that goes over,I have Maroth pitching on my fantasy team today....haha

Hi bk...if you have Maroth on your fantasy team, you must know something about him. Below is something that was written on covers site. Do you disagree? Thanks for your response, I'm looking at this game and saw that he is a lefty, who the Jays tend to hit very well (4-1 vs lefties so far).

Left-hander Mike Maroth has been the dirty little secret among what is an otherwise quality group of Tigers starters. Things got so bad at the end of last year that he was demoted to the bullpen. He finished 2006 with a 4.19 ERA and a 1.30 WHIP.

Those numbers are actually lower than his career averages of 4.80 and 1.40.

Maroth won his first start of the season against Kansas City but his performance was typically shaky. He allowed four runs and six hits in five innings, yet Detroit managed to win 6-5.

Maroth faces Tomo Ohka and a Blue Jays team that loves to hit at home. Toronto had an MLB-best .861 OBP at the Rogers Centre last year.

Yanno,
I know what you're saying but keep in mind before he got hurt last year he won 5 games in I think 11 starts. This Det team can keep any pitcher in contention for a win with that batting order. Call me stupid but I like this kid...duh,maybe that's why I'm already in last place in my fantasy league....haha
