Thank you for the consistent winners :0074

Does it concern you that Duquesne/St. Louis total is down to 132 ?

I bought a few more units (not much) at 130' before tip. Heavy steam and hoped some of you bought off without getting crushed by the middle.

One of those days......Hofstra let me down at home needing a Hoop to win. It happens and my numbers will only get stronger as we eek into Conf play.

Middling; This is really dependent on your style. if you are a high volume player with 3 to 500$ unit then I would be looking for a middle at 2.5 points.

Low volume players who are more research based then I would be looking for a middle at the 3.5 point range.

For me personally- I rarely try to middle before the game unless I have moves over 7.5 points (which I get from time to time in WNCAA) I look for middle ops more in game and 2nd half. But that is my preference. I am a little more conservative than others.

Excellent post and my brother hits it on the head perfectly...... I usually come in before tip when I see major line movement but with so many games on the card, I got stuck trying to play some middles on some of my lesser unit games.

Here's the thing with me and you can definitely make a case for either way but my numbers are my my life and I have to stick with what I know. I value Musca and several guys in here but Musca looks at things that I sometimes have blinders on (ie injuries, steam, etc). So, I usually go with what I have and I think you will see as the season goes on that my numbers will usually beat the heat 7 out of 10 times. I'm not being a narcissist or having some superiority complex, but I don't get involved with too much line movement before a tip because I have to trust my numbers right or wrong. I hope I explained this OK. Also hope some of you got better numbers than I did on that game.

I played over 128.5.... and feel pretty good about it!

it's funny, I'm looking at the "live odds" the MJ offers.... I'm seeing 129s and 126.5...that alone is a decent middle if I had accts at both places.. buy un 130.5/over 125.5.... risking juice only... and gotta shot at 5pt middle

MUSCA... RIFF-RAFF...
In the 'hypothetical' situation described above, how many "middle" points do you guys usually feel is necessary to try for 'middles'?

I know it doesn't apply to us rooting for the 'over' in the game, but I've seen it happen several times/week in college hoops....

I haven't been paying much attn to cbk the last wk and missed some solid, ez winners.. but I know there's more where those came from :0074

GL Everybody!

Just catching up here as this thread has taken on a life of its own lol... All excellent input btw and nice to see guys breaking down a line and movement rather than breaking my balls.

In answer to your question, I will only try to middle a minimum 5 pt mid but certainly know guys that like 3 if they think their numbers are square.

I have to say, that in my almost 2 years of placing wagers on Riff's basketball games (last year and this year) I have found from my personal experience I am usually printing money.

My St. Louis number dropped to 130. A lob dunk with .03 left cashed.

Gardner Webb ov 128.5 cashed.

South Dakota State -3 was a cakewalk and cashed.

UMKC -3 took 3 overtimes, but cashed.

Hofstra ov 149 pushed.

Dayton u137.5 lost.

Couldn't get Cal +10 in....

4 - 1 - 1 today.

3 - 0 yesterday.

3 - 1 the day before that.

Beverages are on me in Tahoe.....
