2-3 last night, been playing way too many games and that is being corrected tonight. I Have all my eggs in one basket and am well invested in this game.
I am not about to allow the last game for these two teams sway me. It must have been one hell of a New Years Eav party in Youngstown because the Pengs were very sluggish and didn't guard at all. Detroit and Milwaukee played in the 160s at Detroit but only because Milwaukee tossed in tons of 3 balls and they scored a combined 19 pts in OT. The Titans were not guarding the perimeter well at all on that night. I have to suspect that McCallum stressed this in this weeks practice and will have that fixed tonight.
The Ramblers are home tonight where they love to get into a half court set and limit possesions. The last two years Whitesell's Loyola team, when matched with Detroit at home, saw matchups that netted 101 & 108 total points. Yes, I do know that this Detroit team is offensively exploseive at times and have the talent to score. However, the Titans also have the knack of playing to the level of their opponents.
I also have to play Detroit +6 as well. This Loyola team reminds me of last years team. They both got off to pretty solid starts but last years team wilted in Horizon play. May just happen again.Talent wise Detroit is the better team here, though inconsistancy has hurt them because of their dependence on blue chip freshman guard, the coaches son. Detroit is much better when they get their bigs involved. Holman is a beast, when he gets going inside it makes Detroits game much, much better. Here's hoping they bring the A game tonight because thus far the Titans have been a tough bunch to figure out. I do like them much more in the role of the dog though, have to make this play.
Detroit + 6 ( 4 units )
Detroit/Loyola Chic under 136' (8 units) This is my second largest play of the season.
