...pant, gasp, wheeze...somehow survived a few days without the diamonds...

'capped these mothers but disagree with the results...sorta...

mets 59%(-140)even --edge SP & sticks
Cards 55%(hmmm...) --Lohse looking fine but poor numbers vs; edge here is allsticks
Rox 56%(-142)-3 --tiny edge Roxsticks+decent home-field
tigers 59%(-103)+8 --Olson 3-0 at home in 6 starts despite getting pounded by the powerful Royals in last home go...he's been pounded in 2 straight while Rogers has been mediocre lately; Ordonez should return for Tigers

Slight lean all overs but slight means pass and who knows if the layoff hurts the sticks.

PLAYS
=======

mets 1st5 -140 1.05/0.75
mets -140 1.05/0.75
padres 1st5 -105 0.84/0.8
tigers 1st5 -108 0.54/0.5
tigers -103 0.62/0.6

None of these looks fantastic but my account is semi-bloated so whathey. Cueto has been fairly decent lately but the Mets are--at least were--on fire and Santana is rounding nicely into the ace the Mets thought they were acquiring. Peavy putting up (more) zeroes also sounds likely though I fear their bullpen. O's are always tough to call but Olson has been trash lately and methinks the Tigers could get on a roll sometime soon--only 7 games out in the Central.

Rox game looks too tight as they're not hitting lately and Maholm has looked pretty good--too expensive, IMO. Under 5.5 1st5 only real temptation there.

I miss NFL football. Watched a few minutes of the Pats-Colts game from last season as I had taped it. Each in it's turn, I suppose...we're lucky to have sports going the entire year. Only about a thousand ball games left; guess that's still plenty to provoke the pick your poison carefully motto.

Not from here.
Not today.
Need some 'shoes.
