North Texas is going to the "dance". They will probably be seeded 16th and play Kansas...the line -27...but lets enjoy this win...NT almost gave it away..up 8 with 4 minutes....tie score under a minute....thank you guys for Don Henley...Meat Loaf also went to NT..that was on ESPN tonite...also Bill Moyers from PBS....going down to Dallas for a big NT reunion in two weeks...about 15-20 of my friends...some I haven't seen since 1973....maybe Nt will still be alive...

Marquette -3.5 over Johnnies ***
Johnnies destroyed Huskies...lost to Marq. by 2 in OT...Marq isn't the Huskies...think they give Johnnies problems tomr....with there outside shooting..Haywood,Butler,etc are too tough..

So Miss -6.5 over Tulane ***** strong play
SM won by 9 at home and 18 on the rd vs the Green wave....Think SM controls the bds with two 6'10 Flowers and 6'10 Bolden.both teams have balanced scoring but Tulane can't shoot and SM can play defense...I have this number at -9 or -10...

having been in it for 25 straight years, it became routine.....now that we're 1 loss away from missing the tourney i'm already feeling left out.

nothing compares to these 2-4 weeks when you're team is in it......watching/scouting/pretting for any possible matchup is fun and exciting.

here's hoping to a unt moneyline winner next week!

(of course there probably wont be a ml, but i'll take the 27 as that unt team is pretty athletic ....would like to see them vs duke, a non-athletic team)

Only because Gonzalez can't coach.He has better talent then ND esp at the gds....But after last nites track meet think they should be a little winded.

Louisville -6 over Cincy ***
Cards will press and press.Cincy can't shoot.Think cards get their act together tonite and make some noise.

Oklahoma St -7 over OU ***
Think the Pokes win this by double d's.I don't do to many B-12 games so I had some fun last nite capping this..I came up with -10,so I'll jump on OSU.

Tulsa -14 over Rice **
Think this game could be a blowout...



Sam Houston -10.5 over Nicholls ***** strong play
Houston is one of the most explosive teams in the country.They are 9th in scoring,can shoot the ball,and is a solid rebounding team..Nick can't shoot and can't rebound.Sam beat Rider and Auburn and lost to Kentucky by 10.In that game Allmond one of the best 3 point shooters in the country hit 11.Mitchell the pt gd is the best passer in the conf.But their best player this yr is 6'6 fd Clavell who is avg 17 pts a game..Nicholls has one of the best players in conf in 6'6 Bose who avg 20 pts a game.sam beat them by 6 during the year but tonite should win by double of that...

Marquette loses with them missing two front ends of 1on 1's under a minute...
So Miss wins..
GL tonite....and I'm still dancing..My mean green are going to the prom..the senior prom...hope they can stay for the 2nd song...

That's amazing about Zona....you just go to the dance...your invitation is sent several months in advance....North Texas got its 2nd invite ever...but when I was in school we were part of the Mizzou Valley..my freshman yr we were 14-0 at home in the snake pit..knocked off Louisville who was 8th in the country 98-80..beat Drake who the yr before went to the final 4 and lost to UCLA. We beat Arizona at home that year also.I remember zona had two 6'10 players but we killed them...I can remember the date..Dec 16th,1969....because that nite after the game I met my 1st true love...we went out for 2 yrs..then got a dear john letter from her..the next day met another Texan and fell in love...married her a few yrs later and now we have been married 34 years ...always tell my wife " "met you on a rebound".... a basketball term..lol
