But interesting tidbit on Sakkari. I bet on her first match this year, like 1/3 or 1/4 united cup against osaka. Sak won set 1, so i was thinking here we goooo
took osaka -120 set 2, +225 match. Sak won set 2 6-2.
This is the important part— after the match shes doing an interview and she’s talking about how she got engaged in november, she was suffering bad depression for 14 months, AND the kicker - she has NEVER FELT BETTER ABOUT LIFE OR TENNIS.
Lesson learned. I started betting tennis aussie open quallies 2020 and sakkari had her moments since then but in 2025 she was baaaad. I watched coco’s indian wells “match” where she double faulted 22 times, 7 in one game, and won the match (and that game). The opponent? Sakkari.
Anyway, i hear tennis interviews but i dont always listen. That one caught me - and from what ive watched so far in 26, she is not the same player as the last 18 months.
She is playing as well as anyone but rybanika on the wta.
Thats why the nerve to go against iga today.
it’s about to be 4-4 set 3, and iga may win, but a +480 dog and +195 to win a set? Over 6.5 gms? Thats priced 6-3 6-3 iga in straights. Not in 2026.
