Mont at FLORIDA

PENNY has dominated MONTREAL so far, going 4-0 and not allowing a run in 24 innings. YOSHII has only pitched relief vs FLOR, and is scoreless in his last 4 1/3 after a rough outing vs the MARLINS. As yesterday's game will attest to, neither team is hitting right now, and with a HP UMP calling only his fourth game, but so far showing a wide zone, (ONLY 3.5 BB's per game!) I have to think the batters will be swinging at anything close. A couple of regulars resting for FLA as JOHNSON and WILSON are both sitting. Gonna look to go UNDER here...

Under 8.5 -120

Minnesota at DETROIT

MAYS is MR UNDER this year, replacing teammate RADKE. His games have gone 8-24 so far this year, and he's 9-3 UNDER during the day. MINNY tends to struggle vs LH starters, so I'm looking for another low scoring game here. DET bombed MILTON yesterday, but can they do it two days in a row?? I doubt it...

COLON is a much better pitcher on the road than at home, and so far his day game starts have gone UNDER 7-3. CLEV is 11-2 when he starts on the road, and his ERA of 3.32 is about a run lower than at home. DURBIN meanwhile pitches better at home where KC is 7-9 in his starts, but his ERA is 4.21 at home compared to 4.92 overall. He also receives very little support as KC has only scored 10 runs in his last five starts. With KC facing COLON today, I don't look for more than a run or two from them. IF KC is to win this game, DURBIN must throw a great game. My play is the UNDER again, figuring it to be a low scoring battle.

Under 9.5

Stl at MILWAUKEE

MORRIS has been very good of late, but his performance on the road is much different than at home. STL is 23-10 Overall in his starts, but only 7-8 on the road, partly due to the 5.50 ROAD ERA MORRIS has. At home he has an ERA of about 2, but it's 3.50 runs higher on the road. In fact, in his last road start he gave up nine hits and 8 ER in 4 2/3 innings vs HOU. HAYNES hasn't pitched in about 6 weeks after leaving a game with the CUBS after the first inning back in AUGUST. How effective he'll be is questionable, so I see some value in the OVER in this game. Both pens got used up a little yesterday, and with both teams hitting, I see this game going OVER 10 runs. HP UMP TSCHIDA calls only 13.2 K's to 7.1 BB's for a LOW 1.86 ratio. Most Umps have more than a 2-1 ratio. With HAYNES coming back from a layoff (rusty??) and MORRIS' struggles on the road, look for another shootout in BREW TOWN!

Too many unknowns here.... Both pitchers have had success vs opposing team, WOOD is dominant at home during the day, but CUBS are resting several regulars which may hurt their chances. The UNDER is tempting based on this, but with 15 of last 17 CUBS games going OVER, I'm not touching that one either. Wind is supposed to be coming in slightly at 7 mph... but still PASS

Looks like a 2-1-1 start on the day...

L.A. at SAN DIEGO

Gonna ride the wave again... ROAD TEAM has now won 13 straight, and I'm not bucking that trend. Actually, I like the pitching matchup today as I see PROKOPEC having a better game than MIDDLEBROOK. Both should give up a couple of hr's though, so I'm looking to the OVER also. Lay LA at the small price and go OVER the nine spot here!

forgot to post ARIZONA and OVER

but that's how I played it. ZONA knows they have to win and they are whacking the ball right now. Thought the game started later... sorry.

Be back about 6 or so with other plays.

agree 100% with NJO! THERE ARE FORUMS WHERE SOME PEOPLE PUT IN THEIR PLAYS 110% ABOVE AND BEYOND WHAT IS EXPECTED OF THEM. RANDERCITY AND MANY OTHERS (please do not be offended "the many others" that list in detail their plays everyday), THIS IS JUST A KUDOS TO MR RC!!

NOW, I don't have time to write up these last ones, got a class tonite so gotta run. But basically looking for plenty of offense out of the TEX/SEA game as there are numerous trends pointing to OVER, and neither pitcher is gonna be that effective. In ANAHEIM, neither pitcher has had much success vs the opposing team, ORTIZ with an ERA of over 10, MULDER of 5.50. I don't look for that kind of offense tonite, but would not be surprised to see 9 or 10 runs scored in this game. Gonna play the A's though, as my numbers (dog system) had them as a play, and I can't back the ANGELS with their 1-9 mark in last 10.

SEA OVER 10 -115
OAK -150 & Over 8.5 EVEN
